5K recap from this past Saturday. @1600_asa had a goal: sub 19:30. Alongside the pacing team of @simonlauer82 and @tyson_runs42.2 , that goal was met with a new PB of 19:29.

With a supportive crowd, members of @underdogspeedproject cheering the guys on, and matching race shirts from @lululemon , it made for a perfect first race of a fantastic weekend for the dawgs 🏃⏱️🙌 well done Steve, Tyson, and Simon!

The Dawgs killed it on RVM Sunday this year… lots of PBs, even more smiles, and a ton of fun across the 8K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon. Super proud of everyone, and while I couldn’t fit everyone in this post (or missed them entirely as they sped past me before I could notice) I was cheering everyone on the whole way through 🔥🏃🫡 @underdogspeedproject @runvictoriamarathon

Victoria Half Triathlon - P3 - You’ll be alright, just chase your dreams. July 12, 2026: my first complete triathlon and a day I will remember. I am blessed to have a family and a great group of friends that support my dreams as an athlete. Find those people and hold onto them as tight as you can (thank me later). I am happy with this performance but felt limited by my battle with nutrition (I sense a theme). Finishing in 4:52:54 and knocking out a 2:40 on a challenging bike course is something I can be proud of. Next month we FLY at T100 Vancouver, stay tuned!

2026 Victoria Donut Mile was one to remember! Lots of great teamwork, raising money for a fantastic cause, and the crowning of a new champ… all while downing a TON of doughnuts. Very few things that can top that🙌🏃🍩

Arnel told me heritage/culture is really similar to running. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how right he was. Both of them involve people gathering, cheering, supporting one another, and showing up for everyone. Yesterday was an amazing example of that.   I’m grateful to everyone who came out and ran with us to celebrate Filipino Heritage Month and our incredible culture. Special thanks to our sponsors @bayanihan.victoriabc and @friendsfamilybake.canada for making the event (and post-run food) happen. My third marathon weekend didn’t go the way I thought it would, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The heat in Vancouver played a factor in the run, but being able to run such an iconic route and see so many friends from the Island and beyond was awesome. I’m so proud of all the @underdogspeedproject runners who tackled the weekend head-on, and came out with a ton of PBs. Thank you to everyone who came over from the Island to cheer us on!
