Your dream hunt deserves more than just a booking. It deserves the right outfitter.

You work hard for your money. You deserve someone who works just as hard to make your hunt unforgettable.

I take tremendous pride in what I do. Every hunt, every client, every mile travelled. My goal isn’t simply to fill a tag, but to deliver an experience that exceeds expectations.

There are no guarantees in fair chase hunting, but there’s one thing I can promise…

Your hunt will mean as much to me as it does to you.

Real adventure. Honest outfitting. Memories earned.

A little throwback to July…

There’s something pretty special about seeing the final chapter of a Catch & Cook safari laid out in front of you.

The skulls, the stories, the meals around the fire, the laughs, the friendships — and all the memories made along the way. What started as a few days in the Kalahari turned into an experience that was about so much more than the hunt.

This was our 2026 Catch & Cook, and looking back at these moments already has us counting down to the next one.

Catch & Cook 2027 is already filling up.

Another week of hunting, cooking, incredible Kalahari sunsets, great food and even better company — with a few new surprises along the way.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Kalahari in a completely different way, this is one you don’t want to miss.

The Kalahari. The food. The hunting. The stories. The experience.

Fly in hunts are un predictable. You take a flight when you get flights. This one was me, solo to get into camp to get our deluxe wall tent set up at a minimum. Atleast we get one flight in.

Deluxe wall tents are typically a 2 person set up. I have some tricks to help solo set ups. Wait for our YouTube video for those.

Mountain weather and mid to late season moose hunting in British Columbia is challenging at times. Hurry up and wait comes to mind on many occassion.

There are sunsets you stop to photograph, and then there are sunsets that make you stop and appreciate where you are.

For us, this is home.

The Kalahari isn't just where HTK Safaris operates. It is where we spend our days, where our families have made memories, where friendships have been built around campfires, and where we have had the privilege of sharing something very special with people from all over the world.

After spending so much time here, it would be easy to take it for granted. But every now and then, a sunset like this reminds you just how lucky you are.

The red sand.
The endless horizon.
The quiet evenings.
The animals moving through the last light.
The smell of the fire as the day comes to an end.

These are the things that make the Kalahari home.

And perhaps that is what we love most about sharing it with our clients. We don't just want them to remember the animal they hunted.

We want them to remember how it felt to be here.

The first morning when the sun came up over the Kalahari.
The excitement of the first tracks in the sand.
The laughter in the Land Cruiser.
The cold drink around the fire.
The stories that somehow get better every evening.

And that moment, on the last night, when you realise you don't really want to leave.

That is the Kalahari experience.

And we are grateful every single day that we get to call it ours.

The Kalahari isn't just for hunters. It's for everyone.

A safari with HTK Safaris is about so much more than pulling the trigger. While the hunters are out on an authentic walk-and-stalk, observers get to soak in the magic of the Kalahari—scenic game drives, breathtaking sunsets, and incredible wildlife around every corner.

Moments like this, watching a tower of Giraffes quietly move through the thornveld, remind you that Africa is an experience for the whole family. Giraffe, Zebra, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, Springbok, and so much more... every drive has a story to tell.

Whether you're carrying a rifle or a camera, the Kalahari has something unforgettable waiting for you.

Ending the season the way every PH dreams of!

Three days. Two Buffalo bulls. One unforgettable Kalahari adventure.

We were fortunate enough to end the season with a double Buffalo hunt, taking two beautiful old bulls after three days of authentic walk-and-stalk hunting in the Kalahari.

What made this hunt so special wasn't just the result—it was the journey. Over three days we looked at probably 50 Buffalo bulls, young and old, passing on bull after bull while waiting for the right mature animals. Patience paid off, and we were rewarded with two spectacular old Kalahari bulls that were worth every mile we walked.

One moment I'll never forget was standing on foot, glassing a herd of Buffalo, when a Spotted Hyena started calling less than 500 yards from us. The whole Kalahari seemed to come alive. Those are the moments that remind you you're not just hunting an animal—you're completely immersed in wild Africa.

The Kalahari delivered incredible stalks, breathtaking scenes, and memories that will stay with us long after the season has ended. It's a place that captures a piece of your heart every single time.

A perfect way to close out another unforgettable season.

Some moments never get old.

Hunting is so much more than pulling the trigger.

Even after years of guiding in the Kalahari, I still stop and appreciate these small moments. Kneeling beside a client's Impala, admiring a mature old ram after a hard-earned stalk, reminds me why we do this.

A great stalk is a great stalk. It doesn't matter whether it's an Impala or a Gemsbok. It's the wind, the tracks, the patience, the final approach, and sharing that moment with someone who's just experienced the Kalahari the way it was meant to be hunted.

At HTK Safaris, we don't chase numbers. We chase authentic experiences and mature animals, creating memories that stay with you long after the hunt is over.

The look on a client's face after an unforgettable stalk in the Kalahari—that's what it's all about.
