Now more than ever, we need to invest deeply in our children—with our time, our effort, and our Islamic knowledge. The tarbiyyah of our children cannot be left solely to online teachers, schools, or peers. While these can support us, the primary responsibility rests with us as parents.

Our duty is to nurture strong, confident Muslims who are grounded in their faith and equipped to face the challenges of adult life with clarity and conviction. What we instil in them today- the values, beliefs, and habits we model- becomes the blueprint for who they will be tomorrow.

So what can you do now?

Start with a simple framework: work on a Ramadan project together as a family. This could be something small and consistent—learning a new dua each day, memorising a surah over the month, or diving into more in-depth learning using a tried and tested resource from our vast collection, such as:

So grateful to be gifted My Inspired Stars, it has been such a beautiful addition to our home.

It’s a gentle read, colour, and learn activity book for young Muslim children, with both boys’ and girls’ versions available.

What I love most is how naturally it nurtures Islamic character, confidence, and love for Allah and the Prophet, without pressure, just warmth and encouragement. Each page offers a short story and an activity, teaching morals, manners, motivation, and positivity in a way children can truly absorb.

Following Yusuf’s story has been especially meaningful for us. Having been to Umrah, my son connected instantly with the page where Yusuf goes to Umrah with his family, and it’s now his favourite.

Hamoud now looks forward to our 1:1 time with this book when he comes home from school. It’s reminded me how much children bloom when they’re given our full presence, even for a few quiet minutes.

May Allah place barakah in our time with our children and allow us to raise them with love, faith, and beautiful character. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah — I’m so excited for this one. 💛

Since I started teaching my eldest the Qur’an, I always knew I wanted more for him than just memorisation.
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll remember #craftyourjuzzamma — where we used stickers, glitter, posters, dioramas, LEGO and more to explore the meanings and themes of each surah in a child-friendly way.

Fast forward to now… I’m a busy working mum of 3, basically living in survival mode 🤯
But one thing hasn’t changed — the Qur’an still sits at the centre of my parenting.

So I watched my daughter learning to memorise — saw her love of stickers, colouring, creativity — and I created something special.
For her. For other children like her. For you.

🎉 Before it launches, I’ve got an exciting collab dropping 13th December with a group of likeminded accounts — and they’ll be sharing exactly how they’re using it to support their child’s Qur’an journey.

Gaza is experiencing horrific scenes of starvation and death - the people are suffering greatly and the videos are distressing and heartbreaking - it's unbelievable this is the world we live in 💔😔

Speak out, take action and mostly pray for our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

🎢 A huge thank you to Eva at @letslearnmama, whose recent post about the amazing discount offered to home-educators at the Alton Towers theme park resulted in a great day out for me and the kids today!

🎢 I always make a point of contacting tourist attractions to find out if they can offer us any concessions, and over the years we have been able to save hundreds of pounds in entry to places.

🎢 Until Eva's post however, I was unaware that the educational rate offered by Alton Towers to schools was also accessible to home educators.

🎢 I had to submit an email request for the discount, and then send a scanned copy of a letter from the local authority confirming that we are home edding, but the response was very prompt; I emailed them at 10:30pm one evening, and by 8:30am the following day I had a response!

🎢 I was sent a link to book my tickets, and after getting some of the kids home ed friends on board and ensuring the weather was going to be nice, we booked our tickets. Teacher's rate for me (£25) secondary school rate for K (£18) and primary school rate for M (£13)!

🎢 The theme park wasn't very busy at all, and I think if we'd have gone last week before the GCSE exams ended, it'd have been even less busier. Even so, there were some big rides that we queued for around ten minutes for!

🎢 We had a great day alhamdulilah, saved a packet and didn't spend hours queuing. Thank you so much Eva!
