I was hesitant to go for this trip due to various reasons but the moment these girls started discussing about wearing bikini I got excited and it was a last minute decision to join them.

Now the question - did i wear bikini?? Actually no, i could not wear my bikini because my red cycle planned to visit me during my trip but the fun that we had was more memorable than missing wearing my bikini..

Will i wear it in the future - ofcourse yes!!!
Will i post it on my social media - ofcourse yes but in a more modest way... 🤣🤣🤣

A one of a kind experience at Mirissa, Sri Lanka. 🐳 🐬

@whalewatching_mirissa organised this for us!!!

Though we were not lucky enough to see the whale this time, seeing the wild dolphins was satisfying...

The sea sickness is real and I literally had nothing in the morning except for a mouth of water and I puked bile twice. Others suffered a lot and somehow infants and people who wore glasses did not get sick. Not sure about the science behind it. When the sickness hit me, I just put my head down and looked far away towards the horizon and tried to sleep for the next 3.5 hours!!

I'm so glad that we saw the dolphins when I was sane and healthy!! I decided that I would never try anything of this sort again but looking back, yes it was an uncomfortable experience but i would try to do it with more preparedness by popping pills and using acupressure bands to minimise the sickness!!!

Seetha.... ❤️ 🐘

First time in a long time I'm seeing an elephant this close and literally touching her and feeding her and riding on top of her!!!
The experience was scary and super memorable!!

Giving her a bath and getting sprayed with water was an incredible experience!! Her ears were so thick and yet so flappy. When she flutters her ears, I could hear a short trumpeting sound!!!

It rained for a short span and Muthu was so excited that she started dancing in the rain and Monica was also trumpeting and making sounds in the rain..

It was indeed a pleasure to see these beasts in their natural habitat.. and my guide was telling me that elephants are domesticated in Lanka just like how the horses are domesticated in Europe. They are not subjected to any cruelty or torture and they are fed well.

I spoke to the owner of this park, Mr. Aselar and he too mentioned the same!!

I was lucky to have had a close encounter and interaction with these beautiful beasts on the WORLD ELEPHANT DAY - AUG 12. I felt it was God's plan to bring me here because this was not part of my original itinerary. I couldn't get tickets for the train and this magic happened...

I paid 7500LKR for this experience and it was worth it!!
