The mornings are getting a little cooler. Long runs are starting to feel a little more like fall, depending on the day. And the races we've been training for all summer are getting close.

We love this time of year.

And one of the things we're especially excited about with Rock CF Thumb Coast is that all of that training leads to a race that supports something bigger.

The Rock CF Foundation works to improve the quality of life for people living with cystic fibrosis through programs, scholarships, research initiatives, advocacy, and a community built around movement.

People living with cystic fibrosis also race with us for free.

So yes, we're excited for November 8. For cool weather. Fast running. First Marathons and Half Marathons. PR and BQ attempts. And that finish line in Port Austin.

But we're also really proud that we get to do all of it while supporting Rock CF. ⚡️

Two months to go.

Last November was the inaugural Rock CF Thumb Coast Marathon. We knew we had a great course, a great partnership with Rock CF, and a race we believed in.

Then people actually ran it.

They chased PRs and Boston qualifiers. Ran their first Marathons and Half Marathons. Hit the gong at the finish. Cheered for strangers. Told their friends about it. And told us they wanted to come back.

Now we're heading into year two, and this thing is growing.

We already have more Marathoners registered than we had on race day last year. The Half Marathon is almost there, too. And we still have two months to go.

That's the part we're really excited about.

More runners on the roads. More people chasing big goals together. More people finishing in Port Austin. More miles supporting the Rock CF Foundation and people living with cystic fibrosis.

Year two is going to be a good one.

See you November 8. ⚡️

Registration prices increase at midnight on September 7th! 🚨

If you're trying to decide if Thumb Coast works for you, here's what last year's runners told us:

“Great communication, wonderful course, volunteers at the aid stations were top notch!”

“This was my first half marathon, and I couldn't have asked for a better day.”

“Great staff, support, info, affordable shuttle, route, aid stations, and pacers.”

We're two months out. There's still time to train well, and we'll take care of the details.

Current pricing ends Monday, September 7 at 11:59 pm EST.

Looking back on last Saturday's @thunderbaythriller race in Alpena. What a pleasure to capture the moments of all the racers enjoying an absolutely beautiful day! My only regret was not racing like last year, this course is so fun, if you missed out you should absolutely put this on the calendar for 2027. This is all for supporting @letsrockcf and their amazing mission, go check them out.

As usual, check the link in my bio to find the Thunder Bay Thriller gravel race album, download and share!
