Something unexpected happened, and I pivoted.

An afternoon of hanging up festival posters with a friend inspired me to create a donation box for the Community Pantry. Because I was just at @theredshoesbr celebrating the @letteritout_book release party, I thought it made sense to have the donations go there to their existing community pantry.

Every morning, I pulled the box outside before we opened. Every day, it rained at least once and I ran outside to pull it under the cover. Every evening, I brought it inside.

Then, one morning near the end of the 10-day festival, I was doing my morning opening ritual, which includes lighting incense and placing it in the holder in the front corner of the room, when I noticed a person walking by through the curtains. I didn’t think it unusual since I was in a strip center.

When I bent down to put the stick in the holder, I saw through the window that this person had stopped and was gathering food from the donation box. ✨ There was no reason to perform an interaction. I felt immense gratitude for being able to witness the moment: a human offering meeting a human need ✨

And I realized in that moment that I wanted to keep the food in the immediate neighborhood because there was a demonstrated need. After the festival was over, I did a google search for a place nearby without really having any luck finding something that felt aligned.

During the same time as harvesting the festival, I was also cleaning up at home and had a bag of donations. I had an idea. 💡

There’s a Goodwill within a mile of the festival site, and I even thrifted several items for the festival there. I brought my donation bag to the rear drop-off, where two men were working, and I asked them if they have a food pantry shelf in the front where I could leave the food donations. I know some thrift stores like St. Vincent Du Paul offer this, so I asked.

The man who took my bag said that they don’t have one up front but lots of people who work there are in recovery and if I would leave the food there it would not go to waste and they would be very grateful. He offered to take it to the break room, and we all left feeling happy.

Set your vibration in the morning and watch your day go according to it 🫶

Just delivered some @letteritout_book Volume 3 which was curated by @jennleecreates to @focus_n_flowfitness4mindbody where @jennleecreates also painted all the windows so yall can see what Focus and Flow has to offer from the road and sidewalks!

I made it a point to do a session on the vibroacoustic lounger while I was there and as always, left feeling like a million bucks. Go check it out and see for yourself! I chose the LOVE intention for my session and opted for the eyes open experience where the entire room transforms into your own little galaxy 🌌

Swing by Focus and Flow to purchase your Letter it Out book. You’ll see my artwork in it! Along with a couple dozen other fantastic local artists. And let me know what you think about the vibroacoustic lounger after!

Despite the weather, the opening reception of ‘Expressions of Experience’ and ‘The Letter It Out book vol 3’ release party was a pleasant experience! Congratulations to my friends @swamplotusart and @trinity.phoenixx on their first reception showing their Art! We all didn’t take as many pictures as we should’ve together! Thank you @jennleecreates for creating a space that holds vulnerability, honors our voice/experience, and provides the readers with relatable content that heals and broadens perspectives. I’m grateful to be a part of these projects and to share a piece of my inner world with the collective. I am also grateful to display “The Green Flame” in this particular exhibition. Both of my works go hand in hand with each other. Both of my preferred art styles too. Thanks @theredshoesbr and @ellemnop.art for making it all happen! Congratulations to everyone:)

Jackiiiiii!!!! Okay @lakehouse_designs this Friend Friday is for the best of the best.

The design world can feel like a small world until you step out from behind your screen.

And even the quickest vibe in person can shift how you feel when you actually get together. Jacki is that person.

Since then, I’ve been so lucky to connect 1:1 and get to know this awesome human. She is humble and gracious and badass.

So happy to hear she has been featured in the @letteritout_book v3. Please do yourself a favor and go follow the one, the only, Jacki.
