“You have the power to ignite a fire in yourself and eventually become the mentor for others that you once had yourself. This was my Path of a Passion… What’s yours?” - Leyton Morris 2025-26 Georgia FFA North Region State Vice President How do you squeeze such a monumental year into one single post? That’s the driving question that led to my delay in this post. The past year as a whole has been nothing short of one of my greatest blessings. The students, the opportunities, and most of all my team will not soon be forgotten as you’ve all played a role in igniting the story of who I am and who I will become. To the next 8: The impact you may think you’ll have on the Georgia FFA Association won’t scratch the surface of the impact that it’ll have on you. Take heart in all that you do and soak up every single moment. To my 7 FFA siblings: We did it. It was never easy. But that’s what makes our story that much more inspiring. We laughed, we cried, and we often saw each other more than our own families. We stuck together when it was easy and when not so much and ignited the path for so many who will follow in our footsteps. I’ll forever be grateful for every moment and every person who has played a part in my story. It’s my time to pass the torch.

It's never over--The 98th Georgia FFA Convention was hosted during the 23rd to the 25th of April at Macon. It was a very wonderful experience and an opportunity to take; My project partner/ my fantastic friend, @sofiee_ra628 , and I were invited to the convention to present and compete our project on Sugar Gliders. We were very excited enough to go and compete. We didn't think too much about the other stuff until we arrived there; we were welcomed with open arms and friendliness. We made multiple friends and acquaintances along the way.

The FFA convention was filled with advertisements from multiple universities that offer many careers that include agriculture and support to FFA. They would talk about their campuses and we got many freebies such as Squishies, info cards, pens, and pins. There were also a lot of students from different counties who had the opportunity to sing and play instruments in front of 7,000+ people.

The whole thing was beautiful and highly emotional. State officers passing their roles over to our new FFA office for the 26-27 year. They each told us a story by using analogies to their favorite hobbies, items, or moments. It was also quite lovely, watching each one acknowledging the people who had helped them out with FFA. The parent acknowledgements were the best; the officers acknowledged their parents for being their support system. It was extremely sweet, I think I started crying.

Thank you, @ga_ffa, for inviting us to the 98th State Convention. To the @ga_ffa_stateofficers, you guys did a great performance. I loved it. I hope to see you guys again!

Words cannot begin to describe how much I love this teAm. I am beyond blessed to have had the opportunity to serve GA FFA. I would not be where I am if it weren’t for all the love support and encouragement from all the people I have met this year. I will forever cherish this chapter in my life and hold it close.

Remiya, where do I even start. I thank god every day to have your leadership, laughs and funny talks. You always find a way to say the right things and always lead with integrity. I also love having my picky eater partner.

Levi, you have truly shown me time and time again what it means to be a good friend. Thank you for all the late night talks, long phone calls, and the friendship that I will forever cherish. Your words of encouragement will always be carried with me.

Quinn, you always bring a smile to a room no matter what situation. I have always admired how fun and welcoming you are to others. Thank you for always bringing a good joke to our team and being the best dancer.

Leyton, you always lead with passion and that is what I admire. You find ways to make sure that every task gets done correctly. I find it fascinating how you always stay cool, calm, and collected during every situation.

Evan, I will first of all like to thank you for introducing me to 7 brew this year. You always lead with purpose, and make sure that you are always up to date on all things FFA. I am beyond blessed to call you a brother.

Aly, you always bring joy to any room you walk into. Whether it’s telling us about a new pet story, or just updating us on life you always find joy in every moment. I have enjoyed watching you make sure others feel like they belong. I am blessed to call you a sister.

AG, I wouldn’t want to share a title with anyone else! You have shown me what it means to be a good friend. Thank you for all the LONG phone calls this year. Whether we are getting work done or just yapping away. I have always admired how you are always 10 steps ahead of everything that you do. Can’t wait to see you in the fall again. Gee Haw Woah Back.

Georgia FFA,

You never fail to amaze me. The growth I have experienced is unmatched, the people I have met are the best of the best and the family that was established was nothing short of an answer to prayer. I’d say advocating for agriculture, impacting students, and leading the 3rd largest association was great but doing it with my best friends and now more like siblings cannot be described in one word.

To my family, thank you for your support throughout this year. The early mornings, late nights and long drives in between couldn’t have been done without you. I love you all, 143

Levi, thanks for keeping it real, you never fail to have the right things to say and know exactly how to make me laugh in the worst situations, keep being the steady leader you are.

Leyton, thanks for every deep conversation, car ride, debate, inside joke and jumpstart. Keep your promise and become the next commissioner of agriculture because our industry needs your passion

Quinn, thank you for the joy, the smile on a bad day and the check up every time I needed it. You have a way of making me feel seen and that I’ll forever cherish.

Evan, the way you can keep it real and say exactly what we are all thinking is truly insane. You are the kind of person someone needs when they truly need someone to count on.

Aly, your love for people is so inspiring and infectious. Your smile can light up a room and you make people feel needed and wanted. Never let anyone dull that.

Jose, you have a heart bigger that anything you understand my weird humor and are always down for a phone call and meal. Keep loving hard and I’ll be your backbone

Georgia FFA you have been all I needed and more, here to the end of an era.
