Lewis is thrilled to join the team for The Velvet Underworld. Since graduating from the University of Reading in 2025, he has built a diverse portfolio across short film and television, serving in roles including 1st AD and Production Management. He is excited to contribute his experience to this project and looks forward to bringing its unique vision to life.

THE VELVET UNDERWORLD is an experimental surrealist film exploring themes of human existentialism and the absurd. Andy, Lou, and Nico together for an eternity in an endless void. No walls, no end, no escape.

a dreamscape of soft unnerving darkness, they endure the purgatory of eachother's company, steadfast in boredom, everlasting in longing, with respites of revelations, while constellations reveal nothing and everything...and oh, behold the heartbreaking beauty the popcorn brings, are those stars in your eyes, or are you just happy to see me?

I can’t be prouder to reveal my first directed film: Getting Through Thursday, starring Ryan Mugisha & Geraint Thomason!

The story follows Michael, a prison parolee, who tries to find his footing in the world as everything seems to be moving against him.

As a first time director in my MA course at the @uniofreading , there was so much for me to learn, but I really couldn’t have done this without my masters team, who helped guide me and make this film as brilliant as it is!

I’ve spent the last 3 days on set filming BTS (and helping wherever I can) for @createstudiosdigital upcoming short film.

It has been such a fun experience and marks the first time I’ve helped work on a narrative short film from start to end.

It’s been so amazing to see the crew work together on a tight schedule, and got some good BTS to show for it 👀

It’s only been a week and we already miss our last cohort of grads 🥺
Monday will be our first week in December with no grads and it feels so strange!
We’ve now had over 30 young people join our Create Futures programme and we can’t wait for the next cohort in January.
