Anyone else wondering how we’ve already landed at the end of June?!

It has been a wildly full season. Meaningful time in the arms of family & dear friends. Lots of laugh-cries. Delirium in airports and on highways. Suitcases half-unpacked and then packed again. And yes, a couple of mental breakdowns from the overwhelm of juggling it all ;)

Over the last 2 months, I’ve been in the Sacred Valley of Peru leading a 300-hour YTT, New Orleans, Encinitas, Portland, Bellingham, and San Francisco ~ with Santa Fe, Delaware, and San Diego on the horizon over the next few weeks.

On June 18, I watched my best friend of 20+ years, Haleli, get married. I barely made it through my speech from laughing & crying so much♥️I also celebrated the wedding of two dear friends, Scott & Kinsey, surrounded by some of our best friends here in Colorado.

I’m currently leading an online 200-hour YTT through @thesomaticyogainstitute with 60 people from all over the world ~ our biggest training yet! Truly a wow feeling. 60 humans gathering across time zones to study the nervous system, trauma-informed yoga, embodiment, and what it means to means to embrace the full spectrum of life.

I also began my graduate program in Somatic Psychotherapy at Naropa. I’m in full nerd-out mode on the daily, and through all the Buddhist-informed reading, writing, and conversations ~ I keep finding my way back to one simple teaching:

There is nothing to transcend.
Just a lot to come home to.

Our bodies. Our histories. Our relationships. Our grief. Our joy. Our nervous systems. The world as it is.

And I think the deepest practice is learning to stay in relationship with all of it. To create inner peace amidst life’s chaos. To stay open and awake to the awe & ache of this world. To remain present with the suffering, the not-yet-knowing, the tenderness, the beauty, and the complexity.

Forever learning ~ traveling between worlds ~ a humble student ~ a devoted friend ~ a loving partner ~ a very excitable wedding guest ~ a curious grad student ~ a human with far too many computer tabs open ~ a very full heart.
