My first time shooting slide film! 💖 I am a keepsake girl to my core. I love scrapbooking, polaroids, postcards, and any other physical reminder of a memory. A few years ago, I asked for a box of vintage slide film from Etsy. That winter, I spent hours going through it, holding strangers’ memories and travels and various adventures up to my window in small square slides. I loved it. I kept thinking, “Why don’t you ever see this kind of thing anymore?!” and “How cool would it be to have a box of your family’s memories to go back through over the years?” A seed was planted in my heart. In starting this brand, I had a whole bunch of ideas I wanted to bring to life, this being one of them. I wanted to provide a keepsake for the shoots I do. My brand is all about home, capturing the memories and the phases of life to look back upon. I want the choices I make as a business owner to reflect the heart of this idea in the first place. Even when it’s not the easy way, it’s my way!! And I love that. It’s been such a joy to build this world little by little and make decisions in favor of my heart. And so I am thrilled and grateful to be doing just that. With each home video shoot with the film add-on, you will get a few items to add to your home. A tin of keepsakes to remember years later and open up to a world of nostalgia - your home, your people, preserved. Film is natural and imperfect and real. The Nohava family!!! ✨ This night felt perfectly peaceful, serene, and full of laughter. I’m still in awe of how cool it was to photograph on this land that has so much history and heart to it. Lexi’s ancestors settled in this exact place in the 1800s and now a new generation gets to continue the story. We spent time wandering around outside, having a picnic, and even got to sit with the cows @nohavaranch !! We also got to see the home they built — Lexi’s beautiful, creative, intentional design is so evident here. I could say so much about how special this day was!! So grateful to capture stories & families like this one 🫶🏻
