I had the honour of being a guest judge at the UK’s biggest latte art tournament at @kaffeinelondon ☕️ Almost a decade in the coffee industry. From creating content from a perspective that was once frowned upon, to becoming one of the most recognised faces in London’s coffee scene. From judging the Great Taste Awards, to hosting the first coffee creator panel at London Coffee Festival, being invited to embassies such as Australia House and the Rwanda High Commission, shaking hands with high profile individuals, and working with some of the biggest companies in the world. To now be invited to judge a tournament like this means more than meets the eye. It’s a reminder of how far this journey has come, and why I kept going when what I was doing wasn’t always understood. At Moonstruck we love filter coffee, espessialy when we get the chance to brew up something special on pourover (aka hand brew) 🤩 It’s fun being a mulit-roaster, it means we always have a decent selection of different roasters on offer for pourover. 🐉 UKE TURNS 2 YEARS OLD. UKE NATION, we would like to say a massive thank you for all the love and support that has served as the fuel source of this journey. Without you all, we are nothing. Probably still would be making nonsense content in my kitchen with no product… This is only the beginning. There is still so much we want to do, so much to push through and ultimately…so much to give you all. But it’s special to reflect on this insane ride. We are blessed to be able to do what we do. Again, we can’t thank you enough 🙇‍♂️ We’re excited with what the rest of this calendar year has stored. Plans are cooking. Stay tuned. As always…UNTIL FUCKING VICTORY

This week’s coffee (& chai) round-up: Highlight (or starlight…) has to be @moonstruck.cafe. Having enjoyed a summer walk listening to @thelondoncoffeeguide podcast interview of @liam_coffee, a return to his Stockwell star spot was high on my List. An absolute a pleasure to chat with Liam on London’s coffee culture - from his days at the City’s Rosslyn to our starred coffee spots all over the city proper. Enjoyed a fruity Peruvian oat latte - mylky (way) magic thanks to fruity beans and @roaoats. Also a joy to sample of the wonderful @feripointcoffee Ethiopian filter - confirmation that Ethiopian beans remain my favourite. Of course had to nab a sticker to make my stamp in the joyful sticker room out back! Look forward to returning to this not so distant neighbourhood spot more regularly. Fallen under the spell. 🌙 Alternating coffee mornings with homemade chai these days. As much a morning ritual boiling Kenyan tea leaves over the stove, infused with all my favourite spices - not least cardamom and saffron - and pouring from a height as the steam warms the air around me. The first sip feels like the day starting proper. Clinging on to this final summer stretch with cold brew. Favourite remains @roastingparty Monty B with its orangey twist thanks to the lick of marmalade and the indulgently creamy vanilla oat foam. Back at Nostos for a Columbian cup - more bitter than expected and not as delicate as Ethiopian. And finishing with a coffee favourite further south @drinkatnola with another Ethiopian guest espresso! Last week, we had the pleasure of taking over the bar at @moonstruck.cafe and sharing a selection of our coffees with their community. It was a great opportunity to brew, connect, talk coffee, and showcase some of the coffees and producers we’re proud to work with. A huge thank you to the entire @moonstruck.cafe team, and especially @liam_coffee , for the warm welcome and amazing hospitality. We truly enjoyed being behind the bar and meeting everyone who stopped by for a coffee and a chat. After a successful take over at South Lambeth’s @moonstruck.cafe we are now on their shelves until sold out. And on top in such great company next to @plotroasting @amatterofconcrete @wideawakebrussels 🥹 Come snag a bag whilst all are available! Many thanks to Liam and the team for sharing their space with us and to all who came to share a cup of coffee. Some great feedback and over 30 pour overs made in two hours speak for themselves.

🐉 UKE COFFEE NOW AVAILABLE AT THE MIGHTY @moonstruck.cafe In 2025 we expressed to you all, UKE NATION, our love for MOONSTRUCK. 365 days later we found ourselves at a NEW ROASTERS cupping event, hosted at @moonstruck.cafe by our SENSEI @thecuppingdirectives, alongside 6 other incredible and talented roasteries. And somehow…out of 21 coffees on the table, all attendees voted our beloved UKE PASSION ☀️ as the 3rd 🥉 best coffee of the day. We’ve been operational for just over 6 months. We have no professional coffee experience. We do not come from the industry. We are just simply chasing a DREAM, doing it with PASSION, and building our LEGACY. The LEGACY OF UKE COFFEE. Thank you to SENSEI @liam_coffee for entrusting us with the absolute honour of having us on the MOONSTRUCK shelves. The LAST EVER BAGS of UKE PASSION ☀️ and EARLY ACCESS to DROP 003 COFFEES 🐉 available at the MIGHTY MOONSTRUCK (typing that out feels surreal…I genuinely am humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude). Moonstruck Cafe is the coffee place to be ☕️ It always has something for everyone: a grab-and-go flat white, a selection of beans for pour-overs,their cool menu, and the house filter “to sip on” while you wait for your brew. Every time we visit Moonstruck, we end up lingering: to chat with Liam, watch the street from the window seat, check out the newest stickers in the sticker room, and, of course, enjoy one, two, three coffees (because when it’s this good, one is never enough!). This place isn’t just in the TOP 10 of London Coffee Guide - it’s firmly in our hearts. ❤️☕️
