4 Year Thaimelapse 🇹🇭

As this chapter comes to a close. Looking back in our time living in Thailand.

The number one thing I’m grateful for is how many absolute beauties I’ve connected with in the last 4 Years.

15+ countries. Getting to teach around the world. Connecting with 100s of like minded humans. What a time to be alive.

Tomorrow we are back to Canada for a new chapter.

All of this because I started talking about lifting weights on the internet.

Appreciate everyone who has supported us through this wild ride.

German Pull Day at @muscle_house_gym with the brother, @liamdenton 🇩🇪.

Very pleased with the quality of training as of late, especially off the back of a big and exhaustive competitive season coaching back in Australia.

One thing we’ve been particularly conscious of throughout this trip is prioritising technical proficiency and execution before chasing greater levels of output.

With the inability to standardise loading, equipment and performance metrics across different gyms, we’ve been approaching our working sets with an initial emphasis on movement quality and control, before progressing into a more aggressive set where we can push with a little body english.

14 days into our European trip, 2 flights, 1 train and over 600km driven thus far, without a single meal or training session missed, all whilst thoroughly enjoying and exploring each place we visit.

With Liam in the middle of his growth block, alongside myself transitioning back into a lengthy surplus following a dieting phase, maintaining a consistent daily routine has been paramount in ensuring we aren’t sacrificing the progression we’re both working towards whilst travelling.

We wake at the same time, immediately get outside for 4–5k steps, move into our first work blocks between meals, train, eat post-workout, complete our second work block, then head out to explore wherever we happen to be.

We return to finish whatever work remains for the day, wind down with an episode of a TV series or a film, sleep, and repeat it all over again.

It’s been a great reminder for myself that travelling, experiencing new places and pursuing ambitious goals don’t have to exist at the expense of one another.

With a little organisation and a shared understanding of what matters to us, we are continuing to be able to make meaningful progression whilst making the most of an experience we’ll remember for years to come.
