The Rabbis explain that he feared being killed, but he also feared having to kill others. And suddenly I realized… These are often the two fears behind our silence. Sometimes we’re afraid of being rejected, criticized, or attacked for speaking our truth. And sometimes we’re afraid our words will hurt someone else. We remain quiet not because we lack a voice, but because we’re standing between two vulnerabilities. The goal isn’t to avoid speaking.
