 📚 The Last to Drown

📣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5
🛍️ Purchased at @bookwormandvine

This was my fifth book by Noelle W. Ihli, and one thing is clear—she consistently delivers. Every book I’ve read by her has been a solid thriller, and The Last to Drown is no exception.

I wasn’t sure how a thriller set primarily on a river was going to keep me on the edge of my seat, but wow… was I wrong. This book was intense from beginning to end. My heart was pounding through so many scenes, especially when the story unfolded in complete darkness with the characters trapped on a raft( going down the river), desperately trying to outsmart a madman. The suspense in those moments was incredible.

There were also a few elements that pushed the boundaries of reality, with hints of something beyond the ordinary mixed with pure determination. It added an interesting layer to the story without taking away from the tension.

About halfway through, there’s a twist that completely changes your perspective on what’s happening and who the real villain is. I definitely didn’t see it coming.

Overall, this is a fast-paced, heart-pounding thriller that kept me turning the pages. If you’re looking for a quick, suspense-filled read, I highly recommend adding The Last to Drown to your TBR.

QOTD: Would you ever go white water rafting? ( Me: no sir!!!)
