It's been bitter sweet watching these grads be themselves during their sessions and being able to capture their personalities through it all!
Congrats again EJ on such an accomplishment🎓✨

Walking through vacant land locations in Johannesburg, seeing more than land seeing possibility. Spaces that will create, employ, and empower the next generation. This one means something. ❤️

Yesterday was National Curl Crush day!!! So I put together some oldie but goodie moments of Claudine’s ( my hair) curly hair Journey! Looking back over the 25 years I have been a natural curly queen, It has been a long journey to finding the right hair care products for my 3C/4a medium fine normal porosity hair! I have come across some AMAZING products along my journey, and it has helped me understand a more comprehensive need for me and all of the women I know and love around me. For years I have heard the stories and frustrations, their ups and downs, as well as my own, clear back to when I worked in a hair salon and even before that!! Since I was a teenager I have been hair and body science minded, which speaks to my BS in Nutrition Science, knowing that what happens in the body often times shows up in our hair! Finally, I am blessed to partner with a like minded company in Tress organix, black and woman owned, that has the same mindset and mission, inspired by the women that are already apart of their community and the ones we now together want to bring clean, botanical AND luxurious products to! I am honored and excited to create my own line that I KNOW, women will love and feel confident and safe using called the Syleena Johnson strengthening collection by @tressorganix Coming MARCH 25th!!!! Women go through so much hair inconsistency so I wanted to create a line that could keep our strands consistent in growth retention, hydration, repair and overall hair health! Women have been my mission since I picked up a pen to write and sing the stories of our lives, now I get to serve our crowns! The very thing that makes us Queens, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic! Take a look at some of my curl journey and tell me what is your favorite part YOUR hair care routine and your least favorite ❤️ Happy National Curl Crush Day!
