After having its debut at the Venice Film Festival last year, we are happy to be showing ‘Do You Love Me’ at @barbican. 🎞️

A playful and personal journey through Lebanon’s audiovisual memory, composed entirely of archival footage. Lana Daher’s film is a love letter to Beirut, weaving together 70 years of film, TV, home videos and photography to explore a collective psyche marked by joy and intimacy, destruction and loss. In a country without a national archive, it reconstructs a fragmented history through the eyes of citizens, filmmakers and artists, celebrating creative expression as resistance, renewal and a way to preserve memory.

Director Lana Daher says: “Do You Love Me is a reflection on Beirut today. By reinterpreting fragments of films, songs, and photographs, I hope to distill this city’s layered reality: its memory, resistance, joy and tenderness. I want to give these images new life, opening a space to explore, remember, and simply feel.”

Special panel discussion on “Resistance and Activism for Western Sahara”, on the occasion of the World Premiere of MY HOME OF WIND AND SAND at the Zurich Film Festival.

The panel was sabotaged, and most of the seats were booked with fake email adresses, so that the cinema stays empty.
Hence we decided to put the recording online for everyone to see.

With Najla Mohamed Lamin, Patrick Wally and Greta Thunberg

After the world premiere of the @myhomeofwindandsand.film a panel with @nmasisa and @gretathunberg was sabotaged by reserving multiple tickets without the intention of showing up. Instead of 300
seats only about 40 were taken at the end.
