🐓 Dernière journée de fou furieux! Après 2 jours sur l’eau avec @eliott.mpl et @monplaisir.nicolas je suis un peu plus tranquille, ils ont fait des poissons de ouf et aujourd’hui c’est bonus! Sauf que leur état d’esprit est bien différent, ils voient les deux premiers jours comme un échauffement et c’est aujourd’hui qu’ils vont tout casser. C’est exactement ce qu’il va se passer, on fait le plein de vifs rapidement et leur premières touches respectives vont se solder par des casses, autant te dire qu’ils sont bien réveillés quand les premiers coqs se pointent! Au total on en fera 8, 2 gros au vifs et les autres au jig en light en dérivant au-dessus d’une bonne roche. Eliott tapera son coq trophée en toute fin de session alors qu’on s’apprêtait à rentrer, un combat tout en puissance qui finira de le combler et de l’épuiser! 👌

🛶 What a crazy last day! After two days on the water with Eliott and Nicolas, I’m feeling more relaxed, they caught some insane fish already, and today is just a bonus! Except their mindset is quite different, they see the first two days as just a warm-up, and today is when they’re going to crush it big time. That’s exactly what happens: we quickly stock up on live bait, and their first bites dont go as planned, most likely sharks, needless to say, they’re wide awake when the first roosters show up! In total, we’ll land 8, 2 big ones on live bait and the others light jigging while drifting over a good rock formation. Eliott will land his trophy rooster right at the very end of the session, just as we were getting ready to head back, a powerful fight that will leave him completely satisfied and exhausted! ✌️

🐓 Le premier jour ne devait être qu’un échauffement! Mais les gars étaient chauds! Première vraie touche en kayak et premier poisson de fou pour @monplaisir.nicolas . Un poisson coq massif qui a traîné le kayak à plus de 3 noeud avant de le faire tourner sur lui même. Combat géré nickel et un poisson qui repart en forme! Trop cool de partager ça avec son frère @eliott.mpl dès leur premier jour en kayak. Nico finira la session avec un joli coq en light jigging sous le kayak. 9 espèces au compteur aujourd’hui! 🤯

🥳 The first day was supposed to be just a warm-up! But the guys were fired up! First real bite in the kayak and first insane fish for Nicolas. A massive roosterfish that dragged the kayak at over 3 knots before spinning it around. A perfectly executed fight, and the fish swam off in great shape! So cool to share this with his brother on their very first day kayak fishing. Nico wrapped up the session with a nice roosterfish light jigging right under the kayak. Nine species today! 👌

Beautiful little Guadalupe out of the Llano River!

Brings back memories of Highschool when I was fishing the Colorado River 4-5 times a week, before baseball practice, after practice, between practice and games, and night fishing after practice and games 🤣

River was still up from the flooding a few weeks before, but we grinded a few dinks out!
