🎃 THE REAL KILLER? PROCRASTINATION. 💀

You keep saying, “I'll get life insurance later.”

But what if later never comes? 👀

The scariest thing isn't what happens in horror movies. It's leaving your family financially unprotected.

🛡️ Don't let procrastination become your family's nightmare.

📩 DM me “PROTECT” and let's see what coverage makes sense for you.

[Latest Podcast 🎙️]

I’ve got a special episode of the Painting Your Path podcast for you today—and the timing couldn’t be better.

Tune in to this behind-the-scenes conversation with Melissa Smith and Tori Allen, two speakers at The Becoming Experience virtual retreat. By the way, it’s also Tori’s birthday 🎉today!

In this episode, we chat about the heart behind The Becoming Experience, a free virtual retreat for women who are:

✨ Feeling overwhelmed by all the roles they’re juggling

✨ Moving through big life transitions (midlife, empty nest, career shifts, and more)

✨ Ready to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and honor their mind, body, and spirit

You’ll hear real, honest stories about motherhood, identity, nervous system overwhelm, and what it really means to “become” in this season of life.

If this retreat (or this conversation) feels like it’s tugging at your heart, consider that your sign and, as Tori says in the episode, don’t be selfish: share it with a friend who needs it too.

Thanks for listening and for being part of this community.

DM POD and I’ll send you the episode 🔗

P.S. If you listen on July 9th, send a little birthday love to Tori Allen by tagging us and sharing your biggest takeaway from the episode.

There are moments in business that remind me this work has never really been about business.

It’s about people. When I dreamed up the Painting Your Path™ Community, I imagined women having a place where they could slow down, create, connect, and remember parts of themselves that had been waiting patiently to be rediscovered.

This week, two incredibly generous women helped make that vision even bigger.

Thank you @tarnished.scorpio and my dear friend CN, for sponsoring two memberships so that women who may not otherwise be able to join can become part of this community.

Your generosity isn’t just about the membership.

🩷 It’s creating belonging.

🩷 It’s making creativity more accessible.

🩷 It’s reminding someone that they matter.

🩷 It’s giving the gift of self-care.

Thank you both for believing in this dream alongside me. My heart is so full 💗🙏🏽

Looking back at the things I’ve created: books, workshops, paintings, podcasts, programs, I can see something very clearly.

I rarely had the entire path figured out when I began.

I had an idea.

Then I had a question.
Then I tried something.
Then I learned something.
Then I changed something.
Then I kept going.

That has been my creative life more than any perfectly executed plan.

And honestly?
I find that reassuring.

Because if you’re waiting until you know exactly how your project will unfold, you may be waiting for information you can only get by beginning.

We’re talking about this inside From Someday to Started on September 30.

Come with your idea.
We’ll figure out the beginning together.

I’m a Small Business Owner… oh I forgot Super mommy ( in the words of Elijah 😂)

Behind every skirt I sew, every order I package, and every event I attend is a woman wearing MANY hats! 👑

I’m a business owner, but I’m also a wife, a mom, a full-time caregiver, and someone trying to balance it all while chasing her dreams.

Some days are exhausting, some days are overwhelming, but every day I’m reminded of WHY I started. ❤️

My business isn’t just about selling skirts. It’s about creating something I love while being present for the people who matter most.

So when you support my small business, you’re supporting so much more than a sale. You’re supporting a family, a dream, and a whole lot of love! 🥹💕

Still smiling after the ALTA Art Fair. 💛🎨

Thank you to everyone who came out, wandered through the booths, stopped to chat, supported local artists, and helped make the day feel so special.

A huge thank you to Suki and Nina for all the work and care that went into bringing the fair together, Ellen for helping spread the word, and all of our volunteers, artists, food vendors, sponsors, and the Eagles for creating such a welcoming community day.

And I definitely couldn’t have done my little corner of the fair alone. 💛 Thank you to my hubby Robbie for helping me set up those canopies and get everything ready, Ike for helping me set up my grids, and to Morgan and Anthony for helping us break everything down at the end of a long day.

And to my new and returning collectors…thank you. Seeing you connect with something I created and knowing it’s going home with you never gets old 🙏🏽

Art may begin as something personal, but one of my favorite things about it is how it creates connection.

Thank you, Altadena. What a beautiful day 💛

And did you catch the sky at the end of the day?! Amazing 🥰 👉 Scroll to the end
