📖 BOOK CHALLENGE 📖

I was tagged by @arudiary101 and another friend to do this #bookchallenge & #bookcover challenges.

So here we go,

🌻 Previous Read: I've read earlier, “The Song of Achilles” book by Madeline Miller. Wildly romantic retelling of the Greek Mythology hero Achilles's life, his journey throughout the Trojan war, as a story of longtime companions narrated by Patroclus. Surely a masterpiece. Really enjoyed it.

🌻 Current Read: I’m reading “Still you” & “The giver of stars” by JoJo Moyes

🌻 Next Read: My TBR list is bit long tbh. Haven't decided which one to pick!

And I’m tagging two bookstagram friends here as well. Happy Friday 💖

What is/are your current read? Are you enjoying it?

I'm currently reading “After you” by JoJo Moyes. Basically it's a sequel of “Me before you”. Even though how “Me before you” ended; quite make a sense to me but deep down I've the curiosity that how's Louisa or how did she hold up everything after Will or is she happy?

Well, I should have read it earlier but better late than never and it's really bizarre over here. Life is full of surprises! But Lou trying. Sometimes, trying is everything.

I'm going slow with my reading nowadays. Having so many issues. But reading is the thing that making bit difference in my existence. Really looking forward to finishing the book ASAP and grab new one 🌻

QOTD: What are the books that are very close to your heart?

For me, it would be Satyajit Ray's books, namely the Feluda series. I have lost count of the number of times I've read and re-read the tales of this street smart, witty and suave sleuth, who is essentially the Bengali version of Sherlock Holmes. Even though Mr. Ray is more popularly known as one of the greatest filmmakers of 20th century, I was introduced to his brilliance through the books he wrote.

Mr. Ray admitted to being inspired by the stories of Holmes and Watson and it is evident that Feluda is very much fashioned after the former. Despite that, there's something distinct about him that sets him apart as well. For one, he doesn't struggle with Sherlock's drug problems, although he does enjoy a cigarette or two in a day. The most notable thing about him is how quintessentially Bengali he is, from his traditional way of dressing, to his preference of 'Dalmut' as a tea time snack. He is a skilled martial artist, has a great sense of humour and is somewhat of a master of disguises. In short, I desperately wanted to be everything that he is.

During my teens, Mr. Ray's stories gave me a sense of comfort that no other author's works did, until I read the Harry Potter books two years later. Even now when I go back to these stories, I'm immediately taken back to the days of my childhood, when all that concerned me was finishing another chapter before the day was done.

Thank you @orinifyreads for tagging me! I have tagged my fellow bookstagrammers to post about the books which are close to their heart with the tags #booksclosetoyourheart.

Hey my fellow bookstagrammers! What's up? I've been being tagged in a few challenges. So, I decided to combine two challenges.
➖
💙I was tagged by @thebookwisher to do #bluebookstack and #jengastackchallenge. Well, @_book__blogger_ also tagged me in the #jengastackchallenge
➖
💙I combined both to create #bluejengastack. Tagging some of you to do the same. You can try any one of the challenges or try the combined one like mine 😬
➖
💙Btw, doing the challenge I realized I've so many blue books! It made me doubt whether I subconsciously choose blue because it's my favorite color. 🤔 Then I shoved the thought off because I choose books based on genres, synopsis, reviews. A very good coincidence though!
➖
💙Have a good day all of you 😀 and as #qotd🌸 do tell me what book color dominates your shelf? 📚

《with brave wings she flies》 ~ unknown💫
I finally have a new photo to post! It's been a while and I apologize for that but I hope you guys still like this picture🙈
Book talk: I'm still doing a reread of the Lux series - I'm currently reading book three. Writingwise I can say that I reached 80k on the 31st of July which was a milestone I really wanted to reach before July ends. I want to try and finish this draft in the next two weeks - we'll see how that goes.
#favoritebygenre
💫Fantasy - TMI, TID, Chain of Gold, Harry Potter, Caraval, The Wrath and The Dawn, Daughter of the Pirate King and probably many more I can't think of atm
💫Scifi - The Illuminae Files😍
💫Historical - it has been a while since I read a historical novel which I want to change tho
💫10 years ago - TMI, TID or Harry Potter
💫100 years ago - The Secret Garden
Thanks for the tag @fictionaladventures🙈

《Words have a magical power. They can either bring the greatest happiness or the deepest despair》 ~ Sigmund Freud💫
Hey guys🙈
My new novel which I started on Friday is at 3500 words which isn't a lot but definitely a beginning. Writing has been a lot of fun these last days so I'm definitely motivated to continue.
Reading wise there isn't a lot I can update you guys on. I read the prologue of Renegades and barely continued Undying.

《Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.》 ~ Joseph Addison💫
Hey guys, I hope you aren't getting tired of my posts yet since I don't have much time to take new photos and I have to work with what I can find in my camera roll.
Since I'm sharing a photo of Legendary today and I've got a couple of new followers, I will recommend this book series again. The first book is called Caraval and takes place in a really magical and cool world. The story has a couple of unexpected plot twists and this series is part of my top five favorite book series🙈
