Welcome to My Work at Work 💌

Today marks the first day of a 3 month long Coherence journey I have committed to so that I can explore my philosophy, my self, and my own Coherence.

During the past few months as 2025 came to a close and we entered into the year of the Fire Horse, I have spent a lot of time contemplating my next steps. What makes sense for me in my journey right now? What is it I truly want? And honestly, what needs to change to co-create the life of my dreams?

Through a process of self-reflection, I decided that what I needed most was what I actually help others with: Coherence. And it was then that I realized I had never truly, with detail, intention, and awareness, walked myself through my own process of designing a Coherent life, and I decided its high time I did that!

Not only will this process allow me to truly practice what I preach, but I intend for it to deepen my relationship with the work of Coherence and to strengthen my research, writing, and resolve. I truly believe in this work, and through practicing it diligently I hope to strengthen it, and put it to the test. I’m hoping to be proven wrong so that I may hone in on a more precise theory, and I’m hoping to be challenged so that I may embody the truth, honesty, and authenticity with which I conceive of Coherence.

For the next three months I will be working through each of the 6 Pillars of Coherence, every 2 weeks focusing on a new Pillar. Every day I’ll keep you up to date with how it’s all going, and at the end of each 2 week segment, I’ll share my findings, updates, and *hopefully* revelations.

I’ll be honest, this is the scariest project I’ve ever set out to complete. I want to be vulnerable in all the ways that this work is messy and imperfect and raw but also so so worth it.

Over this week I will be sharing even more about the process and beginning to dive in to Pillar 1 of The Coherence Matrix: The Self. If you’re curious about more details, you’ll find longer form breakdowns over on YouTube 💌🔗

I would love if you joined me for this journey. I’m anxious, excited, and oh so ready to feel my work at work.

Smack,
Reese

Many people question why I even need to discuss this topic. Does it not cloud my mission, breaking the chain of helping individuals live Coherently and instead refocusing on politics?
Not at all. And here’s why.

It is a privilege to pursue Purpose. It is a privilege to live Coherently. And until everyone has the same opportunity to live Coherently, it is unjust for me to do so individually, without thinking of others.

If it is my mission to support other people in finding and pursuing their purpose, and to create a world where every individual feels supported and inspired to embody their Truth, live as their most whole self, and contribute to a conscious, compassionate society, that must include everyone. But as Maslow taught us, this work is not the most pressing task at hand when it comes to an individual’s life. This is a Collective for a reason.

Let’s unpack the quarter-life crisis (yay….). From existential dread to redefining purpose, we at least know one thing: life isn’t a stage, it’s a soup!

In this episode of The Unwritten Aesthetic, Reese Brown and Lauren Bush celebrate the space between their birthdays and dive deep into what it means to reach quarter-life. From the awkwardness of birthday songs to existential philosophy, they explore how we define meaning, purpose, and identity in our mid-twenties.

Lauren shares a powerful mindset shift: moving from life as a performance to life as a soup — embracing flow, connection, and self-compassion. Together, they unpack Heidegger, Sartre, Camus, and the anxiety of existing in a hyper-productive late-capitalist world.

Whether you’re facing your own quarter-life crisis or just rethinking what purpose really means, this conversation invites you to stop performing your life and start living it from a place of owning your worth.

Lauren and Reese

Writer’s block isn’t about overcoming fears, it’s about choosing trust. Trust in yourself, in your voice, in your relationship with creativity.

Feeling stuck in your creative process? We get it. Here’s how to break through writer’s block, befriend the muse, and rediscover your relationship with creativity.

In this episode of The Unwritten Aesthetic, we get real about what it means to feel stuck in your creative practice. From writer’s block to painting plateaus, we unpack the frustration of creative ruts and share strategies for finding flow again.

We chat about:
- How structure can both help and stifle creativity
- Why confidence in your own ideas is essential
- The tension between academic rules and authentic voice
- Using imagined audiences to unlock better writing
- Practical tools to keep the creative spark alive (journaling, speaking drafts, cutting up notes, etc.)

Whether you’re a painter, writer, poet, or creative of any kind, we want to remind you that blocks are part of the process, and that your ideas are worth sharing.

With artful Coherence,
Lauren and Reese

Is DnD more than just dice and dragons? The satanic panic labelled it a dangerous ritual, magical occultism, witchcraft… and maybe they weren’t wrong.✨🎲

In this episode of Bow Down! Reese and Dennis unpack how Dungeons & Dragons has evolved from a male-centric, exclusionary game to one of today’s most inclusive storytelling spaces for women, femmes, queer folks, and exvangelicals navigating life through creative story telling and meaningful community.

In this episode, we dive into:
- The healing potential of TTRPGs through storytelling and role-play
- The sexist and racist history of D&D (including some jaw-dropping examples) and how the TTRPG space has transformed into a beautiful, inclusive, and expansive community
- The Satanic Panic and finding empowerment in D&D despite growing up in evangelical families/communities
- The connection between the sacred feminine and spiritual practice and the history of D&D and how storytelling can be a mystical, spiritually connective experience
- How TTRPGs allow us to learn about and practice consent, boundaries, and safety tools that transform gaming tables into spaces of growth and self-discovery

Through our personal stories with TTRPGs and storytelling as well as honest conversation about systemic racism and sexism, we explore how storytelling is a microcosm of our broader zeitgeist, and how TTRPGs can become an expansive and inclusive playground for practicing pro-social behavior, exploring personal identity, and building radical, progressive spirituality all while telling epic stories with your besties!

With empowered Coherence,
Dennis and Reese
