14 years ago! One last dinner with friends, before we left LA and moved to Utah, to become grown-ups. What the heck were we thinking. 🤣

Hey @thebucketlistfamily . We're practically related. One of you is named Jessica and one of us is named Jessica. We have Irish heritage. Most of you do too. Also, hold the phone! All of us have seven letters in our names! #twins Anywho...When I saw that one of your categories was CONSERVATION, I had to nominate my little sister Jessica. She's been checking labels for palm oil and not using plastic straws long before the rest of us caught on. Her favorite food was cheeseburgers, but when she learned about how factory farms mistreat animals and negatively impact the environment, she became a vegan. Cold Turkey! No pun intended. She is a minimalist that can pack everything she owns in a back pack, but she's not judgemental. She shares what and why she does what she does, but lets people catch up at their own pace. She's always been like this. My Christmas list was pages long and she would just ask for donations to her favorite charities. She's a weirdo that's hard to shop for, but she's the best kind of weirdo and a trip to the Maldives would be something she'd actually like. 🤣 #bucketlistchristmas

She has it memorized, but the camera made her a little shy. So, in case you missed what she said... I'm kind. I'm brave. I'm strong. I'm wise. I'm capable. I'm beautiful. I'm funny and I'm so, so loved. Sometimes I make mistakes, but that's okay. That's how I learn. I've got grit (gwit 🤣) and I don't quit! I try to get all three kids to say it at some point during the day. Sometimes they fight me, roll their eyes, say don't instead of do or add super fun words like poop and butt, but I still say it. Life is full of unkind words and messages that I can't insulate them from, but I can do my best to fill them with good words each day and I'm KIND is always number one. We believe we can't possibly be any of the other virtues on the list, unless we're kind first. #bucketlistchristmas

SERVICE! In all caps, because this man's service to his family and the community is undeniable. These pictures represent a lot of things. First let's talk about why he only looks sort of happy to be getting that uniform in the mail. Yes, the training was brutal. It was hard to pass and he was happy to have succeeded, BUT... It also meant no more acting. That's a hard pill to swallow. Hee did it to serve his family.

Second, since it's Christmas time in the age of on-line shopping, let's talk about the real Santas for a second. They are working around the clock, in the cold, in the dark, with occasional metal rods flying through their windshields, to get you your packages before Christmas. They are asked to work through lunch, but to still clock out, so they don't max out their federally regulated driving hours. If their hours do get maxed, they are asked to switch seats and be another driver's runner. All our birthdays, except Aspen's, are during peak season. If they don't fall on a Sunday, than he doesn't get to celebrate with us. All the traditions of looking at lights and dinners parties and shopping together are a no go. There is no traveling during the holidays. There is no seeing parents. He does it for us and he does it for you and most of the time, he does it with a smile, because he has a strong work ethic and truly cares about his customers and his company. He's not alone, so next time you see the Santas in brown (or FedEx, USPS, Amazon, etc...)let them know you see their sacrifice!
