officially a 200 hour yogi in rishikesh!

*psa I’ve been crying all day trying to write this post because I can’t quite accurately describe how much this experience has meant to me. here goes!

still attempting to find the words to describe my gratitude for the month I spent in India. september quietly changed me in many ways. long days, lots of stillness, hard asana practice, detachment, unplugging,
reflection, and lessons that pushed my perspectives in ways I absolutely needed. dare I say the most challenging thing I’ve ever done? dare I also say the most fulfilling and transformative experience of my life so far? absolutely.

to all the beautiful humans who made this experience so magical, thank you thank you thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I will forever keep a piece of you with me. special, kind, bright souls. all of you!

God is so good. something about being completely detached from everything familiar and all forms of instant gratification really creates the space to FEEL Him. I hope to incorporate that sacred stillness into my life more often at home too. my heart has been softened, and I’m thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and Savior. God is in everything, everywhere, and I’m so thankful to have felt the spirit so strong here.

I will keep India in my heart forever!!! the most beautiful, heartbreaking, colorful, culturally rich country I’ve had the privilege of visiting. forever changed!!!!!!!

feeling so grateful for the opportunity i had to go get yoga certified in india. i went thinking it would be a chance to step away from work, recover, and get yoga certified in the mean time. i was so wrong.

21 days of ultimate GROWTH maxing. a schedule that included breathwork, two asana classes a day, the most anti inflammatory vegetarian diet i have ever eaten, an hour of meditation, getting vulnerable about 7 times a day and crying about 8. the monkeys were giving us motivation every step. i was pushed to limits i didn’t know i had, surrounded by sweet perfect people from all around the world who have experienced such similar things. i loved to see how with each lesson we were taught, there were so many parallels between what we believe.

my philosophy teacher, Chaitanya sir, said, “in tree pose, we all have a different place we look on the wall to stay balanced, but all that matters is that we are all staying balanced.” as long as we are trying to be good people, we can have respect for each other’s beliefs. along with that came so much gratitude for the life i’ve been given. there are no words to describe the ache i feel thinking about the kids and families i saw begging on the streets, or the people working so hard to get by. driving through the streets of jaipur changed something in me that i don’t think i’ll ever be able to fully put into words.

i am so thankful for the people who led this experience and all the yogi divas (& devos) who were along my side through it. ill forever not only be grateful but FEEL the gratitude of each day after this life changing month. alsoooo song inspo by @catriona.eliza who sang it so well @ our talent show. go follow before she’s famous ⭐️✨✨⭐️🧘⭐️✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
