LZF3 was one for the books!💥🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️💥

Third time lucky, or third time’s a charm, these are the popular variants of the common notions surrounding the power of the third attempt, apparently rooting from the Latin phrase “omne trium perfectum” which translates to “everything that comes in threes is perfect/complete” (if Reddit is to be believed).

And I would have to agree with the first part (and keep my fingers crossed that the second interpretation (completion) is far off in the distance). It did feel perfect. From the echoes of footsteps and chatter and laughter that filled St. John’s Pavilion for two straight days spread out like a great invisible net of love (📸 1-10, @itss.yana98 )

To the interactive making/art communion taking place at:

•our artist residency at @studiosaol featuring the inimitable @yaknook (🤳14-17 @caoilfhinnart )

•🔻Good Things Come in Triangular Zines🔺 by @corkzinefest ‘s own @an_na_mar

•our annual open makers session which was made even better this year by an interactive performance by @icebearnoise (scans of the work to come!)

•and our annual screenprinting/letterpress workshop by the @limerickprintmakers (📸 1: @itss.yana98 )

We are grateful to so many folks for being part of this festival and helping us bring something invigorating to Limerick City’s art and literature scene.

To start with, thank you to our wonderful crew of vendors who not only brought incredible work with them to offer the general public, but who burn with the same passion for the printed image and the printed word.

Thank you to Anouk, Annie, Eilís, and Limerick Printmakers for making our programme so enjoyable and inviting.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who were a new addition this year and a tremendous help.

Thank you to our silent partners: our parents, partners, and friends who are with us every step of the way, and whose kindness and generosity of spirit we could not do without.

And of course, thank you, Limerick! For showing up and showing out—we wouldn’t be here without you.

We love you all, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,

Tiffany, Caoilfhinn, and Daithí
