Sneak peek at our Isola Design Awards participants featured in the Tableware category. The Salt Giant by @limewaterworks brings a 5.5-million-year-old geological story to the dining table. Inspired by the Mediterranean Salt Giant beneath the seabed and crafted with Anfeh’s traditional salt harvesters, the dispenser releases a precise daily dose of fleur de sel 2.33 grams, with every pull of its stainless-steel tongue. Milled from pink onyx, it transforms an ancient salt deposit into a ritual object, where each crystal carries the memory of tectonic movements, oceanic pressure, and human care. A gentle bell marks every serving, echoing the Earth’s deep past through a simple, everyday gesture.
