From market-to-table dining to crafting experimental seasonal treats, Locus is all about passion and local ingredients. 🍠🍦✨

Behind every seasonal sweet potato ice cream sundae is Haier’s Chest Freezer—locking in peak flavor through quick freezing, keeping ingredients fresh, and offering 150-hour cooling retention for total peace of mind.

@locus.my revamps it’s à la carte menu, with new additions like the steak au poivre with turmeric and fluffy potatoes, handmade pasta, and seaweed bread. For dessert, try the rotating ice cream sundae (ours was ginger, cinnamon, and star anise-spiced, reminiscent of tong sui) as well as a cake inspired by @limhengkit’s time at @benshewry’s @atticamelbourne in Melbourne.

@limhengkit brings us through a regular day at Locus from Market to Table 🌱

A little insight into how we choose ingredients, our thought process behind recipes and how we prep your dishes that’s hard to forget.

So the next time you pop by, feel free to ask our chef your burning questions - we’re always excited to chat about food! See you soon.

All I can think about right now is how sometimes, you never know that your person could be the other kid who sits two pews behind you in Mass. 🤍

To Alison & Kit, sunday school classmates turned lifetime pew partners 🤍

In our June/July issue of @esquiremalaysia, we speak to three Malaysian restaurateurs about the lessons they’ve learned in this tough industry.

In this instalment, Lee Ziyan (@zlee_yan) talks to us about how their café @provisionsmy—a neighbourhood favourite—has built resilience over the years, after opening shortly before the Covid lockdown.

There’s a new spot to linger a little longer on unhurried afternoons, and it’s the @locus.my Pantry! By day, the space transforms into a cosy nook perfect for snacking on light bites while discovering a curated mix of local goods. On our first visit, we sampled a selection of house-made drinks and pastries, with the butter mochi standing out for its satisfyingly chewy texture.

Locus Pantry is open from Wednesday to Sunday (12pm to 3pm), for walk-ins only.

Welcome to the @locus.my Pantry, the restaurant’s new daytime offering where you can stock up on artisanal pantry goods, then sit and relax with a coffee and some pastries whiling the morning away. Beyond coffee, Locus Pantry also plans to have a lunch option (surprise of the day!) where chef @limhengkit will cook up the day’s freshest produce and pantry items into a hearty lunch.
