Tomorrow & Saturday, me and my friends dance company Liminal Movement Collective presents Until the Smoke Clears—an evening of movement, storytelling, and resistance.

I’m honored to be performing and sharing a new choreographed work alongside some of the most talented artists I’ve had the privilege of creating with. Each piece explores different facets of the human experience, and I truly believe there is something in this show that will stay with you long after you leave the theater.

Dear 2025, Part 3: Liminal & Femme Rising
@liminalmovementcollective @femmerisingstudio

This summer, I was invited by the incredible @pre_yuuh to join @liminalmovementcollective . It marked the first time since 2020 that I truly returned home to my craft and studies as a contemporary dancer. A missing part of my identity—of my heart—was restored.

Beyond the work itself, I was gifted the most incredible group of fellow dancers and company members I could have ever imagined. We moved quickly from collaborators to community, to family, in a way I’ve never experienced before. I feel endlessly grateful and deeply lucky to create, share, and live moments of art and life with them. Love and Miss you all and can’t wait to be back in the studio with each of you soon. 😉

This year, I also stepped into the role of Director of Self Defense at @femmerisingstudio . While I’m thankful for the training and skills, I’m most grateful for the community and the pockets of empowerment I get to share with my students every single class. Hearing their stories of resilience, finding ways to laugh and experience joy amid uncertainty—this work has been a necessary haven in an otherwise chaotic world.

We became business partners at @sohohouseportland , and I had the honor of teaching workshops there as well as at the beautiful @cascadapdx . I can’t begin to thank Rei, Louise, Val, and the teams at Soho and Cascada for trusting me to teach, to lead, and to empower—not only myself, but my students too. Thank you. 🤍

Thank you for allowing me to share space with other artists and those who enjoy the arts. It was such an honor and a privilege to have been a part of this event called “Homeplace”🏠🫂curated & hosted by @pre_yuuh held at @liminalmovementcollective. It was incredibly inspiring, uplifting and beautiful to witness each artist articulate themselves through their individual experiences, emotions, movements, words, and artistic mediums. It was such a powerful and moving experience. I am forever inspired by each and everyone one of you. Thank you all!🫂🤎

Also, a big shout out to @irnasplayground for keeping the spirit of dancing alive in social settings through her after party event called, “Dance Is Not Dead!”. Thank you for creating a wonderful atmosphere, and bringing people together in the most grooviest ways. What an amazing way to finish off the night!🕺🏾🪩💃🏾
