Incredibly grateful for our pretty solid run on Season 8 of @FamilyFeudCanada!! 💛💙

Families can only play a max of three games so we were proud to play the max!! 🏆

It’s been so fun having everyone watch and cheer along, and share what answers they would have said in the survey. Thanks to all the viewers!!! 😚

We all agree that no one is working an 8 out of 10 on the Friday before a long weekend. 😩 LOL

Super proud of my mom’s performance. 🥹 She got a couple questions right and we really weren’t sure how she was going to do because her English isn’t strong. Plus she looked stunning. @mamalindork

Truly amazing to be able to showcase Vietnamese culture and heritage on national TV, by wearing three sets of traditional gowns áo dài and robe nhật bình, doing language lessons with @gerrydee “Một, hai, ba, dzô!” 🍻🥂 and teaching how to pronounce my brother @tinmanmedia’s name. 💛

Also to shout-out to some ways to #ExploreEdmonton (including encouraging people to visit during winter—we’re a Winter City and can be proud of it! ❄️)

And of course, to represent Cat Ladies 🫡😸 and the @EdmontonCatFest!!

We were happy all of the family got a chance to share some fun stories and jokes with Gerry and get our answers on the board. ✅

And all of the families we competed against or saw in passing during filming days in Toronto were so nice. 🙏🏻

This was such a memorable experience!! 🎉

I was thinking travel or food show would be in my TV future but quite happy with reality game show contestant too. 🤣

Thank you to everyone involved in putting Family Feud Canada together. Soooo many people, ideas, logistics, tech, and more goes into creating the beloved shows that air on our screens.

Grateful. 🙏🏻

See you in the All-Stars Season!!
(probably 🤣😅😉🤞🏻)

Helloooo from Shanghai, China! 🇨🇳 at one of the most photographed city skylines in one of the world’s biggest cities, at its most famous landmark. 🥰 This is my first visit to China and I’m blown away by how massive everything feels.

I’m in the country for work with @worldskills (next week is the world’s biggest skills competition!) but of course had to plan a free day to explore before things got too hectic.

The Bund is Shanghai’s historic riverfront area, a mix of old and new on either side of the Huangpu River. The west bank of the river is lined with massive, European-style classical architecture built during China’s colonial era when European, French and American merchants were in the city. On the east side is Shanghai’s very modern financial district, home to the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and World Financial Centre, the tallest building in China (and tallest mixed use complex on the planet).

Visits both day and night are a must! We arrived at The Bund early afternoon on a Tuesday when it was much quieter. I was surprised at how ample of space there was to snap photos of the futuristic Lujiazui financial district across the river. After obligatory Instagrammable photos, we walked, ate and shopped around the nearby streets before returning to the viewing area in the evening after the skyline lights switched on. The Bund by night is significantly busier, and we could not believe how many people suddenly filled both the riverfront promenade and the Nanjing Road pedestrian walking street that had been pretty sparse when we walked through just a few hours earlier. 🤯

There’s plenty of delicious places to eat and what felt like every imaginable store to check out around The Bund. There’s also river cruises and ferries to crossover to the financial district if you have time to do that!

My first and surprising impressions of Shanghai was how clean the air felt when we grew up hearing about how much smog & air pollution there is. The city launched a clean air initiative over a decade ago & the results are incredible. There’s also tons of greenery!! 🌳🌺

More to come!

This summer, @safewaycanada is Your Way to Summer BBQs!!! 😋 #ad

From everyday weekly meal planning to all the Canadian ingredients you need for camping, family moments at the lake, summer picnics and more, we love the ready to grill, quality meats and in-store made ingredients from Safeway that make cooking and BBQing so fresh and easy!

Less time cooking. More time eating and soaking up the summer fun. Bonus: these items not only elevate entertaining but are pretty budget-friendly too.

Here are the Ready-For-You, In-Store-Made and Compliments Brand food we enjoyed for this summer family day at the lake:

Ground Chuck Burgers (bacon & cheddar + jalapeño & cheddar), Smashed Chicken Burgers, Hot Honey Dagwood Sandwiches, Al Pastor Pulled Pork, Frozt Bite’z Sour Frozen Grapes, Spicy Peach Margarita Ice Pops and Strawberry Hibiscus Sparkling Water!

Favourite bites: burgers (smashed & regular) + the spicy peach margarita ice pops!! 😋

Tap @safewaycanada for more weekly meals and summer get-together inspo.

And if you want to copy our lake location too, we spent the day at Lower Thérien Lake in St. Paul, Alberta. 🌊 🚤 It’s about a two-hour drive north east of Edmonton!! Enjoy!!

PHOTO OPS @ THE BLUE JAYS GAME! 🐦⚾️🤳🏻

I was so pleasantly surprised to find SO MANY Instagrammable photo op spots at @RogersCentre in downtown Toronto for the @BlueJays game! 📸🎨

It felt like endless Toronto and Blue Jays mural after mural wherever you walked.

We mainly spent time in the 200 level but apparently these artworks, standing areas, porches, props, history and memorabilia spots, and more can be found across all levels of the stadium and were added over several years of renovations (from approximately 2023-25 according to my Blue Jays expert / friend @yourbestfred 🙂‍↕️). If you’re planning to head to a game, I recommend arriving early to give yourself time to check out all the art!

The stadium energy for this Friday night game was unreal. ✨ The team ended up winning 3-1. 🏆 Benjimin got a Blue Jays mascot stuffie to commemorate the experience and a wonderful human who saw us taking a photo by one of the many Toronto murals came over to gift Benjimin a baseball he caught from the game! 🥹 Ben was over the moon, biggest smiles ever.

I also enjoyed my footlong hot dog and poutine in a baseball bowl. 😋 Go Sports Food lol.

@mikethyking and I went to our first Jays game back in 2017 and got great weather so the roof of the Rogers Centre opened for that game. Nearly a decade later and we lucked out with an open roof for this game too! ☀️ 10/10 vibes.

Our family / extended fam shared a downtown condo just across the street from the stadium for part of our trip. It was a wonderful location / home base for Toronto adventures.

Delighted to find the most affordable Toronto soup dumplings at @baohouseto!! 🥟 A set of six pork or beef soup dumplings is just $5.99, which works out to just $0.99 cents per dumpling!! 😋🥳

This does matter as eating out in Tdot adds up pretty quick. 😅💸

Bao House’s whole thing is to fill bellies with delicious dumplings that don’t break the bank!! And they’ve been doing it since 1987 at three locations in Toronto and one in Montreal. 🙌🏻

Bao House also makes fantastic noodles (we ordered minced meat fried noodles) and comforting soups (we ordered boiled pork and cabbage soup). Somehow we missed ordering their specialty Pan Fried Mini Soup Dumplings ($11.99 for 16 pieces which works out to just $0.75 cents a dumpling!!) so I am tempted to return to try before we head home lol.

The food options are incredibly plentiful in Toronto!! We are staying downtown, walking and hopping onto streetcars and trains everywhere to get to our dining destinations. Also lucked out with glorious summer weather this week!!!
