POV: You’re lifting your way to a longer life. ⏳➡️🦵💪

Science says quad mass is linked to longevity, so every squat, lunge, and deadlift is basically an investment in your future self. 🏋️‍♂️📈

Studies show that leg strength is a key predictor of survival as we age, and higher muscle mass is associated with lower mortality risk. Translation? More quads = more years.

So don’t skip leg day… unless you’re trying to speed-run life. 🚀😂

Short and sweet trip to a place I called home during my formative years. It was a weekend packed with lots of love, long walks and copious amounts of good coffee.

Today, we continue the celebration of the achievements of our athletes at the 2024 Victorian Masters Championships over the weekend!

Introducing @lingy.o! She competed in and won the 40-44 F55 category! She successfully snatched 46 kg and cleaned and jerked 55 kg. She ended with a total of 101 kg!

Lingy showed us what it meant to "just keep pushing" as she has been remotely and pushing through some quad strains. She hadn't lifted more than 70% in the training leading up to the competition. Despite these hurdles, she finished well and attempted heavier weights in the competition.

Congratulations on your accomplishments this weekend, Lingy! We can't wait to see what the next year of training holds for you!

The work has been done.

Despite plenty happening, this community continues to impress us with their resilience and willingness to give it a solid go.

Very proud of our master athletes stepping up to compete this weekend at the State Masters Championships.

I have and will always continue to support this group of people because of their unwavering dedication to enjoying the sport instead of letting undesirable circumstances hinder their pursuit!

The Masters have been and will always be a big part of the TG community.

Because we believe that weightlifting should be made accessible for all.

The work I have put into the last decade to promote that was shown today with every one of our lifters finishing up their preparation for the upcoming Masters championships.

We celebrate our Masters lifters as much as anyone else at TG. I can and am very proud to say that.
