A sleeping cat, curled up on the bed. That was the subject of Mark Lord’s very first lino carving, back in 2019.

Cornwall soon found its way into his work. Living in Oxfordshire, the photographer began carving the coast he missed — familiar boats, harbours and shorelines that helped him feel closer to home.

In 2025, he moved back, with printmaking now his full-time work.

Featured here is Spring Time, Helford Passage, the first print he carved after returning. Working near Falmouth as Lino Lord, Mark prints the design individually by hand on Somerset paper, using his own ‘Lugger Blue’ ink.

When I book a shoot, I also block out time for the edit which means my diary gets quite full quite fast.

I had an enquiry the other day from someone who wanted a shoot later that same month. That’s just not really possible, as much as I’d like it to be.

So please do take look online if you are interested in a shoot in 2027 - yes, I’m busy (and so grateful to be!) but I don’t actually do that MANY shoots per month so it’s quite easy for me to be booked up.

Whose studio next? So exciting….

Cornwall and those that create beautiful things there 🖌️

Last Sunday I jumped on a (very packed) train to Truro to meet @linolordpress & @thespeltspoon @thecornishwhippet

They kindly put me up in their lovely little cottage (comfiest bed ever) and I spent Monday filming the amazing @sophievelzian who lives very nearby.

We spent a pretty misty morning next to the Helford and filmed in her stunning studio. The audio is already cut for this one, visuals start on Monday… it’s a beautful story.

Back to Mark’s and my goodness we ploughed through our to-do list on Tuesday. Like a well oiled filming machine after all these years! Since we then had time in hand, we were out and about on Wednesday to Coverack and Cadgwith Cove - the last somewhere I’d never been. Cornwall just offers up one stunning hidden corner after another doesn’t it.

Also, BOOKINGS: I had an enquiry this week about a shoot in October which sadly I can’t do. Just a reminder, I get booked up quite far in advance as I only shoot 3-4films a month and have three regular clients. I also block out at least 3 days for an edit in my diary and factor that into my schedule on confirmation of the shoot.

I’m taking new shoots on from January 2027 (April is full).

What amazing comments on my last post. Have a read - it seems so many of us would welcome more transparency about pricing in general. It WAS a bit of a gamble to just throw it all out there but with a number of new enquiries (from people who had already seen the packages & costs) I think it was a good idea.

And as one follower said: ‘What a great idea. Not cheap but definitely a bargain’ 😂 (might adopt that as my new tagline)

Take a look at the site and new packages - have created a ‘Series’ as well as my more familiar ‘Standalone’ film. There are also additional ‘add ons’ to really make the most of our fantastic content.

Gulp - yes, MY PRICES ARE NOW ONLINE 📝

Why? Well, in the words of the amazing Harriet @institchyou - ‘why not?!’

I’ve never made my prices a secret but this way, you can see if my films are you for at a glance. And take a look at my work (and me) at the same time on my website.

My films are a labour of love. I CARE about everyone one. Too much probably. They are carefully crafted and every shot & beat is considered. I wear many hats: I’m a Production Coordinator, Producer, Story Editor, Videographer, Soundie, Editor…..which is why my 90second ‘intro to the artist’ reels take a day to shoot and three to edit. It’s content to stand the test of time.

So there we go, check out the ‘Series’ package and ‘add ons’ too. Again, these are services I’ve offered for a while but just never really told anyone 🙄😂.

Have a look at our lovely new bag 😊

As part of our 20th Birthday celebrations we asked Mark @linolordpress to design us a super Lino print of a view we love.

We love to walk along the other side of the river and look back across the water to Penryn town and our store.

We are delighted with the design and have had it printed on a tote - a lovely illustration of the home of Bailey’s and the place we have been proud to be part of for the past 20 years.

Can you IMAGINE if I knew the answer to that question?!

I have created a number of viral reels over the years for a variety of artists but that’s NEVER what I set out to do.

If I chased the viral, I’d be compromising myself and my clients, working to a ‘template’ and copying a format. Trying to replicate something gone before. That defeats the point in my eyes.

Every film I make is bespoke, unique and speaks in a different voice. I want each film I make to be as engaging and individual as the person themselves. That’s the fun. And that’s telling a story.
