I promised a proper thank you post, and unfortunately for Instagram, I meant it. 😂

SO many people made "YOU, ME & the rest of the world" happen, and it still feels ridiculous that this many humans came together to make something that lived in my head become real.

First, Katherine Hare & Laura Meaton. I don’t really know how to put into words what it means to make this show with you. You are family to me. The fact that we can be direct, question things, disagree, change our minds, make each other laugh, and somehow always arrive at something better is incredibly special. Thank you for caring about this show as fiercely as you do, and for helping me make it better than I ever could alone. I adore you both. ♥️

To our phenomenal cast - Clara Abdilla Joslin, Rowan Macpherson, Charlotte Freeman, Thomas Lillywhite, JJ Broadbent, Jason Wolff, Sophie Mitchell, Theo Bawtree, Isobel Blakey, Margit Sanseverino & Lucy Walton - thank you for trusting us and giving yourselves so completely to these characters. You made them feel alive, complicated, funny, vulnerable and entirely real. 🫶🏼

Apparently, you can add multiple captions to different photos! Thankfully… because there was no way all of this was fitting into one. 😅🧡 Swipe for more →

To our brilliant band - Tom Houghton, Charlie Morley, Tom Maxwell, Peter Fenech & Abbie Lumley - thank you for bringing the score to life so beautifully. And Tom Maxwell, thank you for somehow finding the time to orchestrate the show with me while juggling 117 other projects... Insanity! 🤣

James Melling, thank you for driving all the way from Canterbury to Leeds the morning of the sharing, and lending us your world-class sound expertise. I am so grateful for your time and belief in the project!! 🙏🏼

Elliot Akosa, thank you for absolutely smashing your first ever time lighting a show - somehow creating something beautiful in essentially FOUR HOURS. Ridiculous! Haha!

And huge thanks to James Hudson for travelling for several hours to capture the show on three separate cameras, and for making me feel at ease throughout the entire process. I appreciate you more than you know!! 💛

Ben Barrow, thank you for kickstarting the creation

Looking back on the past couple of weeks
5 shows, epic fun times playing and no sleep

Thank you to all who made this Masters so special, fellow MAs, tutors and teachers, the legends who played in my 3 bands, the other legends who helped me on Grounded and my MA Project and a MASSIVE shoutout to The Hivemind. My other MDs who always had my back, time for a pint and time to chat, even when I was 7 hours behind, losing my head and money in a casino. Love ye to bits xx

Out There is back at @selabarleeds on Sunday 12th July...

The last Out There of Season 4: our season finale before we break for the summer. We couldn't be happier to send it off with two such amazing acts.

This month's featured performers...

@amonracollective - cosmic jazz-funk
The Crawdaddy Quartet (@linushmusic) - hard bop / americana

+++

As usual the vibe will be upbeat, relaxed and welcoming to both regulars and new faces. Free entry, fresh tunes before, between and after, and the nicest pizzas in town.

Doors at 7, all done by 10ish. We'd love to have you down for this last blast before the break.
