Keela is a super bad*ss FMC. She's made quite the career for herself after surviving as a child gladiator. And Jarrix is the sweetest, green flag, devoted male out there, I adore him. Willing to give up everything to travel with Keela, for her to give him a chance. I love this book, full of action, suspense, romance, and an adorably murder-y pet, it fits right in with the rest of the series.

I didn’t think I could love this series anymore until till I read this, it’s such a fantastic edition to the series, I loved every minute reading it.I just didn’t want Keela and Jarrix’s story to end.

Calla is such a strong, badass FMC, she’s a survivor her resilience to keep going with all she has been through. Fear to hope that she’ll ever find her sister and when there’s a bounty on her head she’s on a mission to find out who’s put a target on her.

Jarrix is the ultimate green flag MMC, the minute he saw Keela she was it for him, his mate and any opportunity he gets he kneels for her. He belongs to her , he will protect even if at the beginning she wasn’t happy with it because Keela was on her own for so long that trust doesn’t come easy to her.

But she comes to realise that Jarrix would never change her, he’s devoted to her and loves her unconditionally and also for the first time in a long time she dares to hope 💕💕

This was everything I hoped for, the banter between Jarrix and Keela is top tier and the journey they go, the build up of trust between them and the chemistry was 🔥🔥 the element of danger, the adventure they go on, the world building it’s definitely become my favourite book in the series.

If you haven’t read the Fortusian mates series add them to your TBR!

Happy Release Day! 🥳

Just when I thought the males in this series couldn’t get any swoonier, @lisaedmonds.author gifts us with Jarrix in Shielded in the Shadows, Book 4 in the Fortusian Mates series.

In this book we meet Keela, who is one heck of a fighter and smuggler. She is on a mission to find her sister who just so happens to be Calla from Book 1. But when a bounty is put on her head, her plans are a bit derailed when Jarrix crosses her path.

Jarrix is an undercover agent working a board a ship who goes to claim the bounty but the moment he locks eyes on Keela he knows she is his mate and drops everything to protect her no matter what the cost.

Throughout the book they are on the run together both with bounties on their heads while they work together to figure out who out the bounty out for her. I love how Keela makes Jarrix works to prove he would be a worthy mate. Boy does he take the challenge head on while he cooks for her, tends to her wounds and lets her take the lead on decision making.

Jarrix will do whatever it takes to show her he will be the best mate and it doesn’t take long for Keela to see how caring he is. Their chemistry is undeniable and they certainly heat up the pages while Jarrix puts to use some of his eel DNA electricity 😉

It was so sweet to see Keela open up to Jarrix about her past and though she has had to be so strong, she knows she is safe with him.

Ahhhhh, I ate this up!!! 🔥

FMC Keela is a BADASS and I absolutely adored her. She’s strong, smart and capable! 🔥

Jarrix is OBSESSED. He knew immediately that she was his fated mate and he’s determined to do everything to protect her. It was very insta lust, at least from his side, but I don’t mind! 🖤

“Only a male would believe someone like me would give up everything for the privilege of being called his mate.”
“I would never ask you to give up anything. It is I who will give up everything to be at your side.”

Their beginning is rough and I felt so sorry for Jarrix, but I laughed at Keela 😂

“I’m not interested in either your semen or your venom.”

I loved how Jarrix genuinely wanted to get to know Keela and earn her trust. I adored watching their relationship grow! 🖤

The spice was soooo good 🤭🔥 Jarrix has 2 🍆🍆 and knows how to use them 😂
