Seasonal noodling. With apologies to @rthompsonmusic. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite records, criminally hard to find these days. Time to stack wood.

The Kinks Sunny Afternoon Cover Live at North Miami, FL (May 27th, 2017).

One voice, one Taylor 12-string acoustic guitar — performed live. ☀️

Here’s my take on one of The Kinks’ great classics, “Sunny Afternoon,” written by Ray Davies. That unmistakable melody, wit and distinctly British sound never get old.

Kinks fans — which song should I play next: “Waterloo Sunset,” “Lola,” or “Dedicated Follower of Fashion”? 👇

What a wonderful couple of days in Northern California. These are pics from the house concert in San Francisco. Fabulous audience, amazing food, a guest appearance on whistle and vocals by @lisaeks and a shot of our gracious host, Victoria.

The next day brought us to Santa Cruz for an equally sweet house show hosted by Mary and George.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this trip possible and to the folks who came out to listen to music in a friend’s living room. And monster throwdown thanks to @sundayartist_band for lending us the gear!!

Big Love!

Santa Cruz showed up today, resistance is in our DNA. ✊✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Multiple generations joining together to express “not in our name” — this is not who we are, we do not subscribe to what is happening in the current political climate and ardently demand a change in direction. Best sign of the day, “fuck this shit!” 🚫🇺🇸

Happy winter solstice, dear family and friends!
I was moved to paint this tonight as the exact time of solstice was approaching, while in the inspiring company of Caroline Casey and Amikaeyla Gaston as they held a winter solstice gathering and ritual. The longest night, the beautiful darkness, and the beginning of lengthening days.

I used the wonderful paints handmade by @beampaints and some crayons and a little bit of ink.
