Everyday Elegance set the tables @arfhamptons with our new silver party dishes ($175for 4 plates) and beautiful flowers by @sagharborflorist. The incredible @lisamccarthy117 was honored for her diligent support of animals in need- @alexsviewpoint gave her the award, presenting her with a wonderful vintage silver tray with the date and inscribed to Lisa. Lisa had a powerful message to share. At the 2026 Bow Wow Meow Ball, ARF’s Champion of Animals honoree Lisa McCarthy took the stage to shine a light on the realities facing animal shelters across the country.

For more than two decades, Lisa has been a tireless champion for animals and an extraordinary part of the ARF family. From her years of leadership on our Board to her countless efforts behind the scenes, her commitment to giving animals the love, care and second chances they deserve has made an immeasurable difference.

While the Bow Wow Meow Ball was a night to celebrate ARF Hamptons and the incredible community that makes our lifesaving work possible, Lisa reminded us that there is still so much work to be done.

The 2026 Bow Wow Meow Ball was a record-breaking celebration of ARF Hamptons, bringing together more than 400 animal lovers with a shared belief that every animal deserves a second chance.

We were honored to present longtime ARF Board member and devoted animal advocate Lisa McCarthy with the Champion of Animals Award, celebrating her decades of dedication to ARF and the animals who need us most.

From cocktails and dinner by Olivier Cheng to dancing to @GR1FN, an incredible call to arms led by @harrysanta, our rescues meeting guests, and Chuck Scarborough as our wonderful emcee, it was a night filled with joy, generosity and so much heart. And of course, our disco dog and cats sparkled all night long! 🪩🐶🐱

The 2026 Bow Wow Meow Ball was truly one for the books! 🪩 More than 400 animal lovers came together for a spectacular, sold-out evening celebrating ARF Hamptons and the animals at the heart of everything we do. 🐾

We were honored to present longtime ARF Board member and devoted animal advocate Lisa McCarthy with the Champion of Animals Award, recognizing her decades of dedication to ARF and the animals who need us most.

From cocktails and dinner by Olivier Cheng to dancing to GR1FN, an incredible call to arms led by Harry Santa Olalla and unforgettable moments with our furry friends, the evening was filled with love, laughter and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Chuck Scarborough kept the festivities moving as our wonderful emcee.

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF Hamptons) celebrated its lifesaving mission and more than 50 years of helping animals at its annual Bow Wow Meow Ball on Saturday, August 15, at the William P.
Rayner Training Center in East Hampton.
The evening honored longtime ARF board member and animal advocate Lisa McCarthy with the Champion of Animals Award, recognizing her decades of dedication to ARF and her commitment to animal welfare. Lisa joined the ARF Board in 2003 and served as President for eight years, helping guide the organization through a period of significant growth.
More than 400 guests gathered for cocktails, dinner catered by Olivier Cheng, and an evening of celebration and dancing to music by GR1FN.

Last night’s @arfhamptons Bow Wow Meow Ball was everything a summer evening should be — cocktails under the garden tent, dinner and dancing at the William P. Rayner Training Center, and the sweetest surprise guests of the night: ARF’s own cats and dogs, strutting their stuff in the Parade of Animals.

Beyond the beautiful gowns and golden-hour light, this night was about something bigger — celebrating Lisa McCarthy, honored with the Champion of Animals Award for decades of heart poured into ARF. Every toast, every dance, every bid at the auction went straight toward giving more animals their forever homes. For more than two decades, Lisa McCarthy has dedicated her time, leadership, and heart to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, driven by a deep belief in compassion and responsibility toward animals in need and a lifelong commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless.

Lisa became involved with ARF more than twenty years ago, and her early support grew into sustained leadership when she joined the ARF Board in 2003. She later served as President for eight years, helping to guide the organization through a period of meaningful growth while remaining closely connected to its mission and community.

Beyond her board service, Lisa has remained actively engaged in ARF’s signature events, serving on event committees and contributing to the evolution of the Bow Wow Meow Ball. Since its reimagining in ARF’s William P. Rayner Training Center, she has brought her creative eye and attention to detail to the event through her work with Everyday Elegance, along with her partner, co-founder, and fellow Board Member, Alex Papachristidis, elevating the guest experience with thoughtful, tasteful tabletop design that reflects both the spirit of the evening and ARF’s mission.

Lisa’s commitment to animal welfare extends well beyond ARF. She chaired the ASPCA Lunch for five years, further demonstrating her long-standing leadership in support of animal protection. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Humane Society of Vero Beach as Vice President. In 2007, Lisa and her husband, Brian, earned their private pilot’s licenses and went on to fly missions for Animal Rescue Flights, helping transport animals to safety and new homes.

Lisa lives in East Hampton and Vero Beach with her husband and is a devoted mother and grandmother. She has shared her life with five beloved rescue dogs—Katrina, Chai, Hogan, Hudson, and a recent addition to the family, Ollie—whose presence and companionship continue to inspire her passion for rescue.
