An afternoon at @CarnegieHall celebrating the CFDA community and the future of American fashion. The 2026 CFDA Annual Membership Meeting brought together members for conversation and connection, led by CFDA Interim CEO @Hildykuryk, Chairman @ThomBrowne, and Board members @ToryBurch and @PrabalGurung. The afternoon featured a panel on Substack with @becky_malinsky, @emilysundberg, and @Nandsouzawolfe, moderated by @MollyGHealy, followed by a conversation between @VeraWang and @bridgetpfoley before rooftop cocktails. #canitellyou… membership has its privileges. The @cfda Biannual Meeting at Carnegie Hall was one of those evenings that reminds me just how special it is to be part of this creative community. Always a wonderful reunion with fellow designers—reconnecting, swapping stories, and catching up on what the CFDA has been up to. This year’s highlight was an inspiring conversation with the legendary @verawang, moderated by @bridgetpfoley. From her days at Vogue and Ralph Lauren to building her own fashion empire, Vera shared invaluable advice, candid insights, and plenty of entertaining anecdotes. The evening wrapped up with cocktails on the rooftop, the requisite class photo, and the chance to mingle with design icons @michaelkors, Vera Wang, @mr_stan_herman, @selimaoptique and many more. A few pinch-me moments, for sure. Even after all these years, evenings like this remind me why I chose this path, how fortunate I am to be part of this industry, and why I still love what I do. “You can’t clap with one hand,” my grandmother used to say. I thought of her often while writing my latest Substack story, Good Company. It’s about joining the CFDA, coming together with other accessories designers when our work was disappearing from fashion pages, and discovering how much we could accomplish for one another—and for a cause beyond our businesses. From an exhibition near Bryant Park to the White House, and later to creating accessories for Michael Kors’s runway shows, those relationships changed the course of my career. About Last Night : It was a SNOOPY-PALOOZA, as all things from the world of PEANUTS was celebrated, particularly as it relates to fashion. In a vast space in the West Village both archival and brand new collaborations with SNOOPY and his friends were displayed, and in many cases, were available for purchase. SNOOPY aficionados, young and old, who came out included LISA SMILOR, KAY UNGER, PETER SOM, R. SCOTT FRENCH, and LISA SILHANEK Here, exhibition mastermind, MATT MURPHY, with his friend ANDREA.

Family photo with the @cfda 🖤 Every so often you get to pause and look around at the people who built you. This is one of those moments. I think back to the Incubator Program — the very first class — and how far that leap of faith has carried me. Every person in this photo has been part of that road, in ways big and small. Today we celebrate something bigger than any one of us: 250 years of America, told through fifty flags for fifty states. It’s a reminder that this industry, at its best, is a mosaic — of cultures, of stories, of hands that make things by hand, still, in a city that taught me how. To my CFDA family — thank you for the years, the challenges, and the celebrations. Here’s to many more. #canitellyou we are family. 💞 Honored to be part of the @cfda members family photo at Rockefeller Center, surrounded by an extraordinary community of American fashion designers whose creativity, vision and individuality continue to shape our industry. 🙌🏽 My journey with the Council of Fashion Designers of America began in 1998, when I was inducted as a member—only a year after launching Rafe New York. 👛 In 1999, I was named a finalist for the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for Accessory Design, an early recognition that gave me tremendous encouragement as a young Filipino-American designer building a brand in New York. 🗽 To stand alongside designers I have admired, learned from and collaborated with is both a privilege and an honor.
