Last night from 6 pm to around 7 pm, we had the wonderful opportunity to cleanup the park and trails of Serrania Park with @itisoverdue. We were able to collect about 20 pounds of trash and recyclables, which shows how that even though a park like this may look clean on the surface, there is still trash to be found. Please keep your eyes peeled while you are out walking, running errands, working, or working out in some form for any trash or recycables that may be hidden. We need to do a better job of educating our communities and the public regarding proper disposal of trash and recycables and the impact that this has on the environment, nature, and most of all our planet. Please help us make the world a better and healthier place to live in. We need all the help, support, and love we can get to achieve our goals and make Los Angeles County the cleanest county in California. What is the craziest item you have found while you were out picking up trash? What is the grossest thing you have found? Why is picking up trash so important? 🏕️🌄👀

We also wanted to give a huge shout-out to Sally and Thelma who we just so happen to run into while we were cleaning up this park. We appreciate all that you guys do. We also wanted to give a huge thank you to both Luis and Max ( not our founder) for joining us during this cleanup and providing us with your support and some fond memories. We appreciate the both of you. We are glad that we could catch up with you guys the way we did.😍❤️🙏

After the cleanup last night we had some delicious Thai food at Anantra Thai Food to celebrate our cleanup efforts and @marleneumi and I's graduation from California State University Northridge. Thank you all so much for the support, kindness, and friendships. ❤️😍

Photo credit goes out to our amazing founder @maxandleon_24 who started this organization about two years ago and is the reason why this organization is growing at the rate at which it is. 📷📸🎊

Don’t throw your old motor oil in public😠 (Sucks how common it is!)

We had a pleasure of collaborating with CSUN sustainability capstone class to host our first E-waste drive with the help of @calewasterecycle and @818brewing. We learned so much from this project and the importance of recycling the E-waste🙏 Thank you for this opportunity and we hope we were able to inspire more people to take a moment to rethink before getting new electronics☺️🌎

Another great week with amazing volunteers! Thank you all🤙 #volunteer #itisoverdue #trashpickup #ewaste #education

Tonight we had another wonderful opportunity to cleanup the streets and surroundings areas around @macleodale with some of the people of @itisoverdue. We started the cleanup around 6:00 pm and ended the cleanup around 7:00 pm. It is incredible to see some real progress being made with the amount of time ash we were able to pick up. Thank you so much to both @annpants and @literarypixie for being able to make it out and help this area become a much cleaner area for the community. You guys definitely helped out with making a dent in the amount of trash and recycables that we saw in this area. What do you guys think of this area? Can you see the difference a few months has made with the amount trash and recycables being less than the month before? Which other areas close to here should we cleanup next? 👀🙏🙌🙀😍

We truly need to continue to educate the community regarding the proper disposal of both trash and recycables, how to properly recycle cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles, and how to properly clean up the streets you walk by every day or night, which means if you see trash or recycables, please do what you can to pick them up and also do your best to educate others. Education regarding this issue if very important to the health and well being of our communities and our planet we live on. Together we can make a difference. The more volunteers we can get, the less trash and recycables we have to pick up later. We can change the way we view trash, recycables, and homelessness in Los Angeles County. How can we better educate the community? How can we get more young people involved with our efforts? 💪😨🥺🙈👂🦻🤳👍

Please let us know if you would like to join our efforts or if you would like to lead a cleanup closer to where you live at our website at www.itisoverdue.com or on social media at ItisOverdue. We truly need more of you to join our efforts to make Los Angeles County the cleanest county in California. Would you like to lead a cleanup in your community? Would you like help with that? 🙀🙉👀🙏👋

Photo credit goes out to @literarypixie, thank you so much for your care, eye, and vision. It is greatly appreciated by all of us. 📷📸

Tonight from 6:00 pm to around 7:00 pm, we had the wonderful opportunity to do a cleanup with @itisoverdue along Hollywood Boulevard, which was surprising not as jam-packed with trash and recycables as we previously thought it would, but we were still able to collect over 30 pounds of trash and recycables in an hour, which is still too much trash for our liking. The next time we do a cleanup here we can cover more ground and find areas where there is a ton of trash that we can collect. Our main goal is to make Los Angeles County the cleanest county in California. We need all hands on deck to make this a reality, which is definitely possible in so many ways. We also need to do what we can to reach this community through education, support, and care regarding the issues of trash and recycables in the streets, on the sidewalks, and in the many alleyways throughout Hollywood. It is very important that we get this community involved in this mission or goal. Where in Hollywood do you think is the dirtiest or trashiest area? Who wants to help us with this goal? How can you help us accomplish our goals? Would you like to lead the next cleanup here?😭😱👀🗣️🙀

Please let us know if you would like to join us for our next cleanup event or collaborations at our website www.itisoverdue.com or on social media at ItisOverdue, we look forward to hear from you regarding these matters. We need to help the Hollywood community in ways that does not solely revolve around trash and recycables, but through setting the example for them to follow, educating the community on ways to recycle, reuse, and sustaining this way of living once they learn it. We are all in this charge together, so let's make this charge count. ❤️👀❤️💯

Photo credit goes out to @literarypixie, thank you so much for coming out and helping us beautify this amazing city. We appreciate your efforts with this matter. 📷📸

This past Friday from 6:00 pm to around 8:00 pm we had the pleasure of doing another night cleanup even around the surrounding areas of @macleodale with @itisoverdue. We were able to collect over 30 pounds of trash and recycables from these areas, which is still a decently large amount for the number of times we have cleaned this area before. We need to make a larger dent in this community, in terms of educating the community about the dangers of having too much trash and recyclables in the streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and bushes, the importance of properly disposing of trash, waste, and recyclables, and where the trash goes when it rains and what that does to the wildlife of both the cities and the ocean. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it out to our weekly cleanup events like this one. What do you think of what we do? How can we better educate our communities and the younger generation? Do you know of any school programs that we can do a possible collaboration with?

This night in particular we witnessed a hit and run that caused three vehicles to be damaged in the process plus the hit and run suspect was attempting to steal a catalytic converter from another vehicle, which was crazy to see happen right in front of us during our cleanup. I hope the person that did this damage is caught, because things like this should not be tolerated. I hope that everyone that was involved in this are okay and did not sustain serious injuries. ❤️❤️

Please let us know if you would like to take part in one of our many cleanup events and projects that we have scheduled for 2022 or if you would like to lead a cleanup or community garden project near you. Thank you for all of your love and support with what we do. You guys make what we do worth it. We appreciate each and every one of you more than you know.

Photo credit goes out to @maxandleon_24 , thank you so much for all the hard work you and the other board members put in daily to make this organization what it is.

The people and dogs that are a part of @itisoverdue truly care, love, and support their communities and each other in ways that I could only dream about. They want the issues that we are having with trash and recycables to be removed from Los Angeles County as a whole through educating the communities, setting the example for other like minded individuals to follow, and community service. We truly are all in this fight together to make the overall state of California the cleanest state in the United States. Thank you so much to our amazing founder, board members, our pawlunteers, and all of our wonderful volunteers for making what we do as incredible as it is. How can you help us? How can you be a part of our goal and mission? Where do you think we should clean up next? Do you know of any education programs that lean towards removing trash and recycables from the streets, waterways, hiking trails, and other areas that need a deep cleaning like the ones we do on a regular basis? Where can you go to volunteer? Do you want to lead a cleanup in your area?

Please let us know at our website www.itisoverdue.com or on social media at ItisOverdue to volunteer and see where we are going to cleanup or plant next with our events calendar. Your help and support is greatly appreciated by all of us. We would love to meet you all soon. We would also like to make 2022 much more of an impact then we wer able to do in 2021. Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of our goals these past few months. Let us make 2022 an incredible year together. We can do amazing things when we put our minds together.

“Hey mommy, can we go pick up trash this weekend?” #familygoals

These kids are one of the most dedicated volunteers who participated in our cleanup events more than 130 times!

Thank you both and their parents for making our community a better place🌎🏆

We’re honored to have you in our community!

It was another lovely, memorable, and worthwhile night cleanup at @818brewing, with the amazing and caring people of @itisoverdue. We truly enjoy having this opportunity to cleanup the streets, parking lots, and roads around this location, which is much needed in this area. Tonight from 6:00 pm to around 7:00 pm we were able to collect over 70 pounds of trash and recyclables. The sad truth is that the amount of trash we collect to regularly around this area is remaining consistently high for the number of times we have done night cleanups in this area. We appreciate everyone who has volunteered with us at our events, but we need more volunteers to help us keep the streets, walkways, parking lots, and cities free of trash and recyclables. Thank you so much to Neil for volunteering with us tonight, it was great having you join us for the first time. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you who has joined us in 2022 with our goals, missions, and our overall car for our communities as a whole. Which areas should we clean up next? Would you like to lead a cleanup in your city? How can you volunteer? Why is what we do so important? Why is it necessary and essential to pick up trash and create community gardens in Los Angeles County? Why educate our communities?

Please feel free to register or inquire about at our website at www.itisoverdue.com. We are looking forward to hearing from you regarding any questions, concerns, or inquiries you may have for us. We are also looking for volunteers to help us educate others about recycling, composting, or other forms of community outreach opportunities. Please let us know how you can help us and our communities become as clean as they can be. The more volunteers we are able to get for events and cleanups like this one, the less trash and recycables we have to pick up later. Your support, care, and love is greatly appreciated more than you know.
