Up next from my folder of “never show these to anyone” it was delightful and terrifying to come back to class after getting injured a few weeks before. As usual theres always more going on, and I wont get to dance like this for a very long time. But im so grateful. Few things felt as important as dancing did. And this is still so so early!!!! Its been inspiring, heart breaking , and containing all the multitudes. 🎶: Black Velvet: Alannah Myles 💃🏻 teacher: Meow Carter

Rudolf Brazda spent nearly three years at the Buchenwald concentration camp with a pink triangle pinned to his chest. The Nazis used that symbol to mark men interned as homosexuals. Brazda was the last known concentration camp survivor deported by Nazi Germany on charges of homosexuality. After liberation, he lived a quiet life in France, never talking about his homosexuality. In 2008, when he heard on German TV of the impending unveiling of a memorial to homosexual victims of Nazism in Berlin, he decided to make himself known. Essentially he came out to stand for ALL Gay and Lesbian victims of that atrocity, knowing that history has a way of dismissing things if no one is left to bare witness. This man came out at the age of 95, and the history of what Nazis did to the homosexuals, as well as to all the other innocent victims, can never be erased. THANK YOU! REST IN PRIDE🏳️‍🌈

JOSEPH Crowley was one of my best friends! ❤️Lovingly referred to by me as Josiah, Joe was an amazing example of resilience and strength. His warmth and depth revealed itself only to a few. I’m honored to have been one. You taught me so much! Learn more about Joe in the 2015 movie SPOTLIGHT. His bravery helped so many. REST IN PRIDE!🏳️‍🌈You won an Oscar!

Just a fat, queer, nonbinary, pansexual, polyamorous, chronically ill witch at My very first class!!! Dancing and being seen puts you right in your weeds. But great news, i love to garden. This class was fascinating cause there were so many first timers (cue people breaking down in the bathrooms) and youre getting to watch others show up for themselves in real time. As for me i did want to immediately run as soon as i entered the room and did think filming might literally kill me. Instead it was the first day i learned what it is to keep track in a gentle, neutral way. 🎶: Flawless by Red Axes, ECHO 💃🏻 Teacher: Meow Carter
