The unpaid supervisor has been promoted to storyteller.

She reads, does all the voices, and has strong opinions about which book we’re reading and when. Her audience is one very distracted little brother whose main job is turning pages (sometimes too early) and trying to eat the book. Meanwhile, I just sit back and enjoy the show.

A month ago, I had a random realisation: maybe I don’t need to do this “raise money for kids’ cancer” thing alone. So, I put up a post, and started messaging some brands that I like.

Originally, I was thinking: it would be cool to get 2-3 brands who would be open to donating a few items, which we could then bundle up over Christmas, and donate all the profits to @childrenscancercolab to support their fight against childhood cancer.

Fast forward several weeks later, and I’ve received products from over 21 of THE most incredible Aussie kids brands.

And I don’t mean they sent a tiny selection of seconds that they can’t sell anyway. These brands have cumulatively donated thousands of dollars of products for us to build what I believe to be the most incredible mystery bundles Australia has ever seen (not exaggerating).

But the reason I’m sharing this isn’t to promote the bundles. That will come, because I truly think they will be incredible.

For now, I wanted to take the time to acknowledge the UNBELIEVABLE kindness, generosity and compassion that all of these brands’ founders have shown. None of them knew who I was, or even what we did, but they trusted us with their donations in the hope that we can all make a meaningful difference together.

As more and more people have joined our cause, I’ve found myself becoming emotional at how beautiful the small business community really is. I’m beyond shocked at everyone’s selflessness and willingness to help, even if they’ve never been personally affected by childhood cancer themselves. For me, it’s been a huge reminder that there is SO much good in the world, and it comes from these people ❤️

We will share more updates as the bundles come together, but for now, let’s take a minute to celebrate these incredible human beings ❤️❤️❤️❤️
