Come and watch us perform a series of minimally rehearsed choral arrangements with accompanying soundscapes including songs by pals @astraforward and @omamdawn in support of the mighty @southlondondrone Orchestra.

The one and only Marlon James will be joining us for an unforgettable evening at the beautiful, Grade 2*-listed St Giles’ Church in Camberwell SE5 on Thursday 5 November.

Marlon James is the best-selling author of six books, including the extraordinary, Booker Prize-winning A Brief History of Seven Killings. He will be discussing his latest novel, the Booker-Prize shortlisted The Disappearers, which The New York Times recently crowned the “Novel of the Decade, if Not the Century”.

‘A Matted Spool’ screens a week today in a gothic church. Kyle McCarthy and I have spent the last 10 months working on a film and next Thursday will be the premiere. There are currently no other screenings planned so if you want to see it this year then you must join us. I will also be performing under The Groan, then we will screen Delicatessen (1991). - love, smog and cannibalism.

Alongside the screening, a musical performance by THE GROAN will set the tone for the evening. Followed by the premiere of short film A MATTED SPOOL by Paddy Hornby and Kyle McCarthy

A percentage of every ticket sold will be contributed to The Friends of St Giles’

The Friends of St Giles’ was founded in the 1980’s to help raise funds for the repair and maintenance of St Giles

It recognises that St Giles’ plays a significant role in the secular life of SE5, in particular through the development of community involvement in music and the arts

Two weeks until the premiere of Kyle McCarthy (@kyle__mccarthy ) and I’s short film A Matted Spool’ at @st_giles_camberwell on 29th of October.

I’ve spend the last two days locked in a dark room writing the score. It’s the first time I’ve endeavoured on a task of this proportion, I’m excited to share it with you all.

The night will begin with a semi-improvised set by one of my music projects, ‘The Groan’ (joined by Miranda Gray-Aragoneses & Oliver Chapman) and the first screening of ‘A Matted Spool’. We’ll then be screening Jean-Pierre Jeunet & Marc Caro’s ‘Delicatessen’ (1991).

There will be more exclusive content to come via my mailing list. Including at some point, a link to watch the film in full whenever you like and an audio file of the score.
