the unsexy products that make me feel like i’m giving the earth a hug. a lot of this is boring, but it works 🫶🏽 save it for your next low tox swap 🍃 let’s get real we’re destroying forests for toilet paper…it’s that plain & simple. most paper products in our home are made from wood pulp which drives the degradation of trees around the world. & if you buy in bulk think about all that plastic…which can take up to 450 years to biodegrade 🫪🚽 who gives a crap is fully a recycled paper (or bamboo) brand and they donate 50% of their profits to organizations working to provide clean water, toilets, and sanitation around the world. & yeah it’s just as good AND it gives back to people + planet :) if you know me, you know this is so important to me! we saved up for about two years for our duvet insert & linen sheets since they’re pricier. Amour Linen sheets have been so good for us through each season. And we just bought the duvet insert for it from Birch! And we were gifted the pillow cases that match so well from Blissy. Haha, can you guess what my favorite color is? I’ve had this face wash for years and just refill it in the glass bottle it came in! I love that it’s packed with superfoods & antioxidant-rich ingredients. plus, it’s vegan, cruelty-free & sulfate-free. even though the pump here is plastic, it’s been with me for so long so it’s not perfect but it’s a little better I guess?? 🌲🐍 we switched to compostable bags recently & im surprised by how solid these are! we use them for everything and they’re more durable than traditional compost bags 🌱 I’ve used Ziploc for years, but they’re made of plastic and this swap is one that’s felt unnoticeable in my home! not sure if compostic makes gallon bags, but if they did I’d use them too the most low-tox things are the things we don’t have living low-tox and sustainably isn’t always about buying a bunch of stuff. for me, it’s been about looking more carefully at what I already have and learning to see it as abundance. no microwave means we heat up leftovers the old-fashioned way… slowly. no dishwasher means we wash and dry our dishes… slowly. i’ve learned to see not having these things as gifts that all

Not every “organic” mattress is actually organic — some are foam on the inside with a green label slapped on. Look for real certifications like GOLS and GREENGUARD Gold like those found on @livebirch Birch Luxe Natural mattress. 🛏️ Save this before you shop, plus two honest heads-ups most reviewers skip.
