Flashback Friday: Year 9 , advocating at @cltgov city council meeting for a place to call home for Jumping Dreams.

Young people need stability, structure, and consistency to grow. In eight years, we’ve brought home six world champion titles, impacted more than 7,000 youth, and partnered with over 30 youth organizations to bring our programming to the community.

We’ve planted seeds all across this city. Now we’re ready to plant roots, and grow.

To our community partners, families, and friends: thank you for everything you’ve done to help us get here. The next chapter starts at home.

🚌Stable transportation for the youth we serve
🏡A place to call home
🌱Operational support to sustain and grow our team professionally, not just for jump rope for all of the programs we provide.

Let’s grow Charlotte 💚🌱

CLTivate Community is a free event from the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance. It was held Wednesday, Oct 14, 11 am to 1:30 pm, at Legacy Union (620 S. Tryon St).

It’s a one-stop chance to meet dozens of local nonprofits and find ways to volunteer, and no registration was needed. Their tagline is “Come curious. Leave connected.” This was only its second year, and last year it was at Truist Field.

Thank you to the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance for bringing us all together, and to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. Family caregivers hold so much up. We’re here to care for them. 💜

Want to be part of FMF?! Link in bio. Join our monthly meetups. 💜💜💜

🌱 Connecting, Growing & Empowering Our Community! 💚

What a great day of networking and building meaningful connections at the CLTivate Community Event!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the ZEN table to learn more about our mission, programs, and opportunities to get involved! We loved sharing how ZEN is making a difference in our community. 🌿

A special shoutout to our intern, Isaiah, who gained valuable hands-on experience connecting with community members, sharing ZEN's mission, discussing his role within the organization, and highlighting the importance of volunteers in helping us grow our impact.

At ZEN, we believe in more than growing fresh food. We're growing relationships, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities for people to serve with purpose! 💚

Because when we connect, we grow. And when we grow together, our communities thrive! 🌱

Join me on November 7th from 10-11 a.m. to support one of my favorite west side nonprofits, @livelearnplay_ot.

Live, Learn, Play is an outdoor preschool that focuses on the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. Play-based and evidence-based, lessons are individualized for each child.

The children get to interact with llamas, chickens, rabbits and more, while using nature as their play space!

They are currently in the midst of their Capitol Campaign, to bring some of that play indoors, with a maker space and room for more educational tools.

No sign-up is necessary. Simply scan the QR code on the next slide and show proof of your donation, or show up and scan the codes available on the day of class!

I hope to see you there!

Eat your fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, roots, and everything else fresh! They’re the reason for the season, and seasons are soon changing.

In 2024 I participated in my first Make-A-Thon, through Make-A-Mark which was hosted by @dogreater

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Dominique and her non profit @livelearnplay_ot . On this day we took a tour around the farm and the environments which her preschoolers are able to learn, grow, and develop!

Came to my attention a few weeks ago @qcitymetro used a photo I took for a couple of their newsletters emails.

Figured I’d share a few more from that session with @livelearnplay_ot @triplea_therapeuticfarm such a good time! 🪴🐐🐓🦙
