Magnolias are my all time favourite flower, the flowers are large enough to encase one’s whole head, and the smell intoxicating. This painting doesn’t show the flower as I think they need to be left on the tree for everyone to enjoy, so magnolia leaves it is! #oilpaint #stilllife

A painting of the house my mum grew up in. And the garden my grandad pored all his love and efforts in to when he came back from the war. It must have been some kind of garden therapy growing thousands of dahlias that people would pull over to admire. Complete with one of our first family cars. In the development project that is Sydney this house is no longer standing, some great big duplex now replacing it of course so it felt nice to paint a memory of it in oil paint. Just missing is my dad in his shirt shorts and little me in some 1980s ensemble. Oil on canvas

A long weekender in the Kanimbla Valley accompanied by a very friendly red bellied black snake… plein air is full of challenges! Plus a hike in the lost city in the garden of stones which was mind blowing. How to capture the blue of the ever changing mountains could be a life long persuit

Honoured to be selected for the 2025 Ewart Art Prize @willoughbyartscentre with this painting of a scene literally across the road from the Willoughby art center. The piece is entitled Willoughby Backyard, Keary Street. This little scene is one I pass en route to get a coffee, and these typical Aussie backyards, with blazing white sun, flat grass planes and hills hoist complete with tea towels blowing in the breeze is becoming a rare sight as gentrification and development moves in to these sought after suburbs of Sydney. An ode to the Aussie backyards of my childhood where the clothes line was the main feature! I’m so grateful to the Willoughby Art Center which is a wonderful non- profit volunteer fulled arts center, also increasingly rare these days. I feel like I’m just starting my painting journey so this is a nice little prompt to keep going x #oilpaint

✨ Flourish is growing beautifully – and organically! ✨

We hosted another incredible @flourish_networking_ event this week with 60+ inspiring women joining us @acehotelsydney – a vibrant mix of creatives, entrepreneurs, change-makers, and leaders. The energy in the room was electric, and the connections being made continue to remind us why this community matters.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to the magic.

And a special shoutout to the amazing @portiasarris Sarris for capturing the heart and soul of the day through her lens. Her photographs reflect the warmth, power, and authenticity of the Flourish community so perfectly. 📸 and my team @artpharmacy

Stay tuned for more events and gatherings soon – Flourish is just getting started.
