Did you know that today is Majdal Day across San Diego County? 🗓️ On October 19, the County delivered a proclamation at our Homeland & Homemaking showcase with 300 of you in attendance!

It’s been two years since then, and our impact continues to grow through direct services, youth initiatives, educational programs, and advocacy.

In honor of Majdal Day, please consider making a donation at majdalcenter.org/donate to help keep our doors open! 🌱

Consider this a sign to meet your neighbors.

Do you know the people who live around you? Not just the neighbor you wave to when you’re bringing in the groceries, but the people you could call on for a helping hand, invite over for coffee, or run into on a walk and stop to chat with?

A connected neighborhood starts with small things. Learning a name. Saying hello. Extending an invitation. Being willing to go first.

That’s what the @uschamberofconnection Welcome Committee is all about. We’re bringing neighbors together and giving people practical ways to build stronger relationships right where they live.

Want to be part of it? Applications are open through October 23.

Come help us make San Diego County a place where neighbors know one another, look out for one another, and make room for one another.

🔗 Apply through the link in our bio.

Your neighbors are out there. This is your sign to connect with them.

Our Regional Director, Amanda Lee, M.A.Ed., joined @shallyzomorodi on @fox5sandiego to share simple, healthy snack swaps and why prioritizing protein and reducing added sugars can support brain health, focus, mood, and energy.

They even whipped up a delicious, brain-friendly Chocolate Chia Pudding you can make at home! 😋

• ⅓ cup chia seeds
• ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ¼ tsp sea salt
