Once again, that’s a wrap on Camp Discovery. I’m already counting down the days for the next time I’m with these people, and so many others not pictured, including our 130 AMAZING campers (not pictured due to privacy), having the best time of the year.
Until cancer is cured, there’s camp!

Thankfully I’m back at Texas Lions Camp for another couple of weeks and can continue #summercamplife a little longer! 💛🤟

“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.”
-Martin Luther King Jr.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered.✨

Another week of Summer Funtime in the Sunshine with my Camp Discovery Family 💙🔆💛
I’m so thankful for the week I get to spend with this group of people, from campers to staff, every year; this year made even more special coming back home to TLC for it. As always, we can’t show pictures of campers for privacy purposes, but there were approximately 120 campers and 90 staff having the absolute best time this past week! A 10 photo series on here could never do the week justice, but here’s just a glimpse of the good times. ❤️💛💚🧡💙💜 #fullofhopelovecheer #CampDiscovery

Gabriel did NOT want the weekend to end😂

This weekend was a movie, but the fun doesn’t end there!! College weekend was the perfect kickoff to years of community and friendship.

Let us know what YOU thought about college weekend in the comments⬇️⬇️

Happy 40th birthday to Camp Discovery, the greatest camp on earth! Camp has been my favorite week out of the whole year for 16 years now. This place has been a beacon of hope, love, and cheer for myself and countless other children battling or who have battled cancer. It was a constant in my life during an uncertain time, and now I’m lucky enough to volunteer and share that experience with others. In the words of my campers:

🎶 Camp Discovery, it’s the place to be.
Arts and crafts, swimming, and even archery.
Happy happy birthday. You’re turning forty.
You bring us all together, we are family.
Happy happy birthday Camp Discovery.
Happy happy birthday from the bumblebees! 🐝
