Canada’s Great Kitchen Party - Ottawa, Ontario On Monday, September 21, 2026, Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine welcomed a sold-out crowd for Canada’s Great Kitchen Party Ottawa, celebrating the event’s 20th anniversary! Five chefs brought their own distinct perspectives to the table, with thoughtfully composed dishes and Canadian wine pairings showcasing the depth of talent in Ottawa and the surrounding region. The evening began with Hamachi Crudo and Green Aguachile from Ottawa’s Chef of Distinction, Marc Lepine of Atelier, a two-time Canadian Culinary Champion. Here were the final results: 🥇 Gold: Chef Yannick La Salle, chef of the Supreme Court of Canada, presented Veal Sweetbreads with celeriac, apples and horseradish, earning his place at the 2027 Canadian Culinary Championship. 🥈 Silver: Chef Ian Carswell of Black Tartan Kitchen presented Venison with beet, haskap and potato, bringing together earthy flavours, fruit and game. 🥉 Bronze: Chef Jason Sawision of Stofa presented Kataifi-Wrapped Lobster and Langoustine Torchon with sweetbreads and chanterelles, accompanied by lobster coral agnolotti and a passion fruit-vermouth sauce. 🏆 People’s Choice: Chef Lizardo Becerra of Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine won over the crowd with aged wild BC Sablefish Usuzukuri, a leek and apple tart with citrus-marinated Manila clams, and Manila clam gelato. Chef Joe Thottungal of Coconut Lagoon and Thali presented Bay of Fundy Lobster with coconut-yuca, roasted tomato and bone marrow emulsion, preserved moringa pearls and Malabar tamarind-maple gastrique. Beyond the culinary competition, the evening supported MusiCounts, with funds raised helping provide musical instruments for a school in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Congratulations to all the chefs and their teams! AUG 27th -30th @ 6PM It is such a joy to play this music and share this part of who I am and where I come from. I am grateful for every chance we get together. In a lot of ways, this is exactly the kind of concert that I love to play - one where were we all come together to experience not just the sounds but also the FLAVOURS of what makes Peru so special. With a tremendous amount of work from our team to make it possible, we had an unannounced soft opening last night at 200 Elgin St. We’ve opened up our kitchen, and are delighted to share our updated space with you, Ottawa! Thank you to everyone who joined us, there are more updates in our space to come. We appreciate that you chose to dine with us! An immense gratitude to our team who adapted to working in a different location while renovations were happening, and took on tasks above and beyond to move locations (twice!). This updated space is our venue for continuous learning, intrepid and exciting culinary experiences, and beautiful evenings of hospitality.

Pop-up to the Grange of Prince Edward County this week at Raphaël Peruvian Cuisine. It is our last 8 days at 380 Elgin St before we temporarily close to move back to our usual space. Our by the glass pours are exclusively from @grangewinery and we have a bottle shop at the front of the store offering wines from the Grange of Prince Edward’s portfolio.
