🎂 The Summer Amy Turned 40 🎉

Forget Cousins Beach, we celebrated at @hotellucine. 😎

@thefancytx understood the assignment with a family-style feast for nearly 30 of Amy’s favorite people. Great food, pretty tables, plenty of laughs, and the birthday girl at the center of it all.

Team Conrad? Team Jeremiah? We’re Team Amy. 💁🏻‍♀️🥂

No shortage of funky flavors over at Funky Munky. 🍧 With so many creative combos to choose from, narrowing it down might’ve been the hardest part. Definitely a fun stop to cool off this summer and niece approved.

It’s about that time you can sit outside without the risk of heat stroke. 🔥

🎉 A decade later and still going strong! @dtogalveston celebrated 10 years last month and pulled out all the stops.

✨ Fish tacos
🍦 Fat Cat Creamery ice cream
🍹 Tasty bevvies
🌭 A Twinkie eating contest (a hard pass for me 😆, but major props to everyone who competed!)

Always a fun excuse for a little Sunday Funday in Galveston ☀️.

All the good eats from my birthday dinner at State of Grace 🎉

State of Grace has a fun menu that balances familiar favorites with unique flavors, all with a coastal Southern-inspired twist. Whether you’re craving seafood, steak, pasta, or just a really good cocktail, there’s truly something for everyone. And of course, we saved room for dessert.

📍 @stateofgracetx

▪️ Caviar tots
▪️ Gin cocktail (name forgotten, but not the deliciousness 🤔)
▪️ Elynna insisting her water belonged in a wine glass 🍷💁‍♀️
▪️ Deviled eggs
▪️ Grilled octopus
▪️ Bread service
▪️ East Coast oysters (plus a fun surprise: $1.50 happy hour oysters every day until 6 PM!)
▪️ Endive salad, Caesar salad, & onion soup gratinée (not pictured)
▪️ Roasted chicken
▪️ Shared sides: Szechuan eggplant, cacio e pepe, wood-grilled asparagus, pommes purée, and frites
▪️ Le Entrecôte
▪️ Lobster fettuccine
▪️ Redfish special

And for dessert:
▪️ Basque cheesecake
▪️ Vanilla crème brûlée
▪️ Texas pecan ball
▪️ Bananas Foster (not pictured)

Great food, great company, and the perfect way to celebrate another trip around the sun ☀️ 🥂!

Something about an early alarm for a flight hits different. Traded in foggy season for one last taste of cool crisp air before Texas spring/summer/humidity really sets in.

Hou ✈️ ABQ 🚙 Santa Fe

Starving when we got the plane, we found an eclectic cafe for breakfast in downtown Albuquerque before driving into Santa Fe for the @whatsgabycookin retreat at @bishopslodgeauberge

🌙 Night 1 in Santa Fe kicked off with happy hour and passed hors d’oeuvres.

No cooking. No demos. No recipes. Just a group of What’s Gaby Cookin foodie followers gathered in a beautiful spot for community and connection in a seemingly unconnected world we live in.

A little out my comfort zone to do something like this, but so glad we did. This is your friendly reminder to take the trip.

Cheers to trying something new. 🍷

Don’t fret, there was some cooking done. I’ve made this one before, so I knew it would be a hit with the family. This round, I added mushrooms—which will definitely be making a repeat appearance—and served it alongside some Parmesan roasted Brussels sprouts.

The only mistake? Not doubling the orzo. Everyone was already calling dibs on leftovers. 😅

Night 2 of the What’s Gaby Cookin’ retreat and the vibes just keep getting better. ✨

Another happy hour followed by a lingering sit-down dinner—good food, good wine, and even better conversation. Ended up serendipitously seated at another mother–daughter table and was like chatting with old friends.

Gaby made her rounds all evening, stopping by tables to mix, mingle, and chat with everyone like the ultimate host.

🌅 And of course… that sunset!
