โš”๏ธ Fantasy Friday is back and this weekโ€™s biggest story is a pretty significant one for New Adult readers. @harpercollinsuk has launched a brand-new imprint called @wildlit_books , created for bold, commercial New Adult fiction with romance as the thread tying the list together. And the opening slate is VERY romantasy-heavy: ๐Ÿ‰ The Emberquell Academy by @aimeelynn.author which was a previously self-published romantasy quartet, will be launching with Wildlit in 2027. โš”๏ธ The Entwined Oath by Rebecca Sorrill will be delivering a brooding romantic fantasy to us. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ The Falls by @mcleodmouth gives us the beginning of a dark, epic romantasy duology. โœจ Starshadow by @lkclipstone serves us with a side of celestial romantasy in 2028. This feels bigger than another individual acquisition. HarperCollins is building an entire imprint, team and long-term pipeline around New Adult readers, and romance and romantasy are clearly expected to play a huge part in that market. Elsewhere this week: ๐Ÿ“š Book Buzz: @milafinchauthor and @harpervoyager_uk revealed the cover for Bondbreaker, the sequel to Runebreaker. โœจ Special Edition Watch: @everheartbookbox revealed their Eternal Obsession Duet editions of Stalked by Seduction and Shadows and Taken by Touch and Torment by Maggie Sunseri. ๐Ÿ“† Coming next week: 27 October A Court of Splintered Harmony by @sarahjmaas Once Upon a Broken Heart Collectorโ€™s Edition by @stephanie_garber Apparently everyone else saw ACOTAR 6 coming and chose peace. ๐Ÿ˜‚ What do you think about Wildlit?
