In the highly desirable La Costa-Encinitas corridor, single-story condos with this level of character are rarely available. This charming garden-style residence sits in a peaceful four-unit building within the La Costa Villas community. Originally built in the late 60’s as part of the La Costa Resort & Spa, these villas were designed as “homestyle” accomodations for families that wanted to spend their entire summers at the resort. Over the decades, the world renowned & and newly revitalized 36-hole La Costa golf course has drawn iconic visitors including Jackie Kennedy & Frank Sinatra. This community still reflects that serene, resort-era ambiance: lush, expansive greenbelts weave between the villas, inviting you to wander beneath mature palms and a variety of fruit trees. This home itself showcases the Spanish-influenced mid-century modern architecture of its era, such as oversized front door and interior white brick that adds texture & visual interest to any decor. Five tall louver-covered sliding doors flood the interior with natural light. Two patios enhance the home- one located just outside the dining area with direct access to the community pool, and the other a semi-interior courtyard nestled privately between the two bedrooms with its own exterior entrance. Wide plank light oak toned floors run throughout the home, enhancing the airy feel of every space. The spacious primary bedroom features a striking brick accent wall- an ideal backdrop for a dramatic headboard. The secondary bedroom enjoys its own small “hallway” with bath, creating a sense of separation & comfort for guests. The location is truly IDEAL at the border of Encinitas and Carlsbad.
