Day 2: Fun Fact! For the past three summers, I’ve had the incredible privilege of teaching children how to swim and giving them a life‑saving skill, and now I’m equally blessed to pour into young voices as the Youth Choir Director at the Louisiana Leadership Institute.

Serving kids in and out of the water has shown me just how much purpose God places in every season of my life. Whether I’m helping a child take their first strokes or guiding a choir to lift their voices with confidence, I’m grateful for every moment I get to make a difference.

In less than two weeks I’ll be competing for the job of Miss Louisiana’s Teen at the University of Louisiana Monroe, April 11–12. Walking boldly, serving joyfully, and ready for what God has next. 💛👑

“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” cover by Yolanda Adams!
I had to honor of singing one of my favorite Christmas songs at Lousisiana Leadership Institutes Christmas program! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and happy holidays! #haveyourselfamerrylittlechristmas #yolondaadams #misslouisianasteen #rasingkidsforahealthyfuture #singers @missamericasteenla

⭐️“Mary, did you know?”
When Gem sang that song, it felt personal…because I didn’t know either.

I didn’t know this tiny (under 2lbs) NICU baby would one day stand confident, singing with purpose. I didn’t know God was growing a voice, a light, and a calling in her (even back then). 🙌🏾

From the NICU to the stage, Gem is one of our Christmas miracles. Gem is living proof that God has things for her we couldn’t have imagined before she arrived. 💛

And to have Congressman Cleo Fields support and encourage her after her performance was such an honor. His leadership in our community reminds us all that strength, service, and perseverance matter. 🇺🇸💫🎄

🙏🏾For every preemie parent waiting on theirs, keep believing! Your Christmas miracles are coming too.
Maybe not how you expected… but in ways more beautiful than you could ever know. ❤️For we walk by faith, not by sight. 💛⭐️
