Last Friday marked a truly special moment for us: for the very first time, our team from different offices came together at one of the most influential places for our practice, the Biennale of Architecture in Venice, where we joined forces with our partner in the initiative @llucelight.

It was a day of discovery, exchange and connection. We began with a workshop led by our Associate Director Francesca Pintus and Researcher Chiara Nifosi from @polimi on ‘Ports as Shared Spaces’. Using our project for the Ports of Genoa, currently featured in the Italian Pavilion, as a case study, the session explored how waterfronts can become active urban spaces connected to both the city and the surrounding territory.

The day wrapped up with a hands-on workshop at Giardini della Marinaressa, together with L&L Luce&Light, we’ve experimented with light and seen how it can transform façades, pavilions and experiences. More than just a day of inspiration and experimentation, Venice gifted us the joy of coming together as a team in a place that speaks deeply to our work and vision.💙

Voice-responsive light and sound | Luce&Light INTONO

Italian designed and made – Exclusive to Ark Lighting. 💡✨

@llucelight Intono seamlessly blends architectural elegance with unexpected functionality, pairing high-performance illumination with integrated speakers and even voice control.

Designed to camouflage into the background, Intono is available in four standard finishes or with a primer coating, so it can be painted the exact colour of the wall it’s mounted on – disappearing completely into your architecture.

With smart-speaker capability, Intono connects to smart speakers such as Google Home or Amazon Echo, over Wi-FI using the ZigBee protocol, letting you adjust both music and lighting scenes with simple voice commands. More than just a light, Intono becomes a “sound lamp”, housing a speaker to play your Spotify or Amazon Music playlists.

The Intono outdoor wall-mounted fixture has won awards at the German Design Award 2021, the Red Dot Award 2020, the IDA International Design Awards 2019 and the LIT Lighting Design Awards 2019.

Discover how this discreet, architectural luminaire can do more than light a space — it can shape an experience.

Together with the team from @zdovc.bayrischzell and the construction management headed by @treicheneder , we magically transformed an old house into a beautiful and cozy estate.

All the details harmonize perfectly, creating an atmosphere worthy of a chalet.

I'd like to thank all partners for the wonderful collaboration!
