NYC photo dump and some final thoughts… “Work trips” to NYC are always hectic. I have high hopes to do everything, but reality quickly sets in, and ambitious goals like posting tons of pics, quickly get thwarted. It’s hard to plan a successful event, run around and meet people, keep up with day-to-day responsibilities, like answering emails, and find time to do stuff like eat and FaceTime with my kids. Needless to say, exercising in the morning didn’t happen. Something’s always gonna fall by the wayside. I’ve come to terms with this. I’d rather leave my phone in my pocket during an event and be focused on the people who came. Even though social media loves tons of cool pics, I like being present and having quality conversations more. Despite missing opportunities to document my days on Instagram, I didn’t miss opportunities to see people. Every day in NYC was packed with coffee, lunch, and drink dates. I got to catch up with old friends and make some new connections. NYC is a must-visit place for me, not just because of the amazing market, but because it’s supremely inspiring. As much as going all around the city is draining, it’s also incredibly energizing. I always leave feeling like there’s no limit to what I can achieve. Opportunities seem to be around every corner in NYC if you’re ready to do what it’ll take to seize them. One such moment happened to me on this trip. But that’s a story for another day… Overpriced parking garages, delivering frames in the rain, unloading in a bus lane, eating dinner at 10pm, 26 hours of driving…. It’s all worth it to take the ads on the road and share what I love to do. Like a family vacation, these trips have become a tradition I love. I hope everyone I got to see in NYC had a good experience, is looking forward to staying in touch, and enjoys their ads! This trip was certainly memorable for me. And I’ll be back in October to make more memories! But first… California is up next! As intense as NYC just was, it’ll be even crazier for me getting ready for Cali, because I leave in less than 10 days! But I welcome it all - and wouldn’t change a thing. I’m a lucky guy to be able to do what I do - thanks to all of you!

***Some pics and excerpts from our new article*** “When my good friend William and I came together to launch Sheegahn, we approached the task with joint aspirations to develop into effective storytellers. We came with the understanding that watches, like selvedge denim or work boots, were inherently primed to become the perfect biographies of their wearers. Rather as an intimate engraving or as a hideous hairline scratch on a ceramic bezel (yes, it’s possible… trust me…), we believed that many of life’s silly stories, asinine adventures, and momentous milestones would inevitably find ways to leave their mark on a watch. Sheegahn was formed with the specific intent to highlight the sappy engravings, the heart wrenching scratches, and—most importantly—the stories of the people who put them there. With that said, I thought it would be fun and personally constructive for me to share the story of my early watch journey to kick off this new project… … … … While my collection would grow and develop over the next decade, I would always look back to these three watches as a humbling reminder of my answer to the question of “why?”. Because of the memories tied with my Harry Potter watch and my dad’s Datejust, I would grow up with the unwavering belief that Rolex was/is the “coolest” watch in the world. Because of the Hilfiger watch, I would shed my prior conviction that watches were mere accessories and begin to see them as sentimental tools that could accompany me in life’s mundane day-to-day and its most demanding side-quests. I am proud to say that it was the intersection of these two realizations that crafted me into the insufferable Rolex/Tudor fanboy that I am today—a title that I promise to live up to with subsequent Sheegahn articles…” • • • #sheegahn

Late nights ahead getting ready for a great @windupwatchfair NYC - in basically 1 week! 😬 Yup, a week from tomorrow it begins! 🤙🏼 So much still to do, including deciding which 500 ads to take with me… 🤪 I can’t wait to see the familiar faces from last year - and meet new friends 👊🏼 You can bet I’m planning another epic New York trip… And not just at the WindUp Watch Fair, but all week long.
